Dear co-laborers,

Please receive the affectionate greetings from my family, wishing that The Lord continue to bless your home and your ministry.

We, in Chorrillos, give thanks to God because we see His grace everyday in our family. We give thanks to The Lord for His faithfulness, and for the support and prayers from our HeartCry brothers.

The work here in Santa Isabel de Villa has grown very little this month, maybe because I was sick. Still we continued to go out in evangelism, also discipling and exhorting those who are weak, because of the fall (into sin) of Carlos and Adan, who were part of the leadership.

We went on a trip to Pisco on August 9th and 10th to see the work in Chacco-Paracas: I noticed that the attendance was down and the missionary Rigoberto seemed tired and ready to quit the work. I ask your prayers for this mission.

I thank God for the conference in Barranco in August, it was a great blessing for all the missionaries.

On August 18th we had also the  ladies meeting for our church with the visit of sister Cassie who brought the word of God. The sisters were strengthened with the word. We continue training eight brothers for the service in the work, every Friday, with the book "The One True God", and some of them are growing and are preaching in the services in the homes.

This Sunday I was in the Vista Alegre de Villa church, taking the place of brother Carlos M. This church continues with evangelism and discipleship. Please pray for his Carlos' health.

At the Sunday services, in the morning I am teaching a study on the spiritual life. I have been doing this after the reading of a chapter of Matthew and a question and answer time. In the evenings we continue with the gospel of John, we are now up to chapter 11.

We are praying for the salvation of Shela, she came from the Aguarunas (a tribe in the jungle) and has been having nightmares. She says that her father received money to marry her with a witch-doctor, and she came to Lima in order to escape from that situation.

Well, this is all, and I pray that The Almighty will continue to help us to be faithful and that he would give us strength to continue working in His vineyard.

Sincerely,

Juan O.
