This report was passed along to me from Angel C.

Missionary Gilberto N. informs us that where he is working in the Quiroz Valley in the province of Ayabaca in the region of Piura there is an association of 40 Baptist Churches. Every three months these churches get together for fellowship and to share with each other about how things are going in their churches.

On Saturday nights during these meetings they have church services outdoors that are evangelistic in nature. On Sunday mornings they go out and do evangelism from house to house. Then they have Sunday School which is followed by a pastors' meeting. In the meetings the pastors discuss how they can help each other with different situations in their churches and they coordinate other activities.

Gilberto's primary work is that of visiting these churches, encouraging them, and strengthening them spiritually through the teaching of the Word of God.

Upcoming work:
-July 18th and 19th: Visit to Anchalay, close to the Ecuadorian border, for a series of Evangelistic meetings.
-August 30th: Visit to churches in the District of Lancones.
-September 12th and 13th: Evangelistic meetings in Hualambe.
-October 4th and 5th: Evangelistic meetings in Pueblo Nuevo de Romeros.
