Beloved Brothers and Sisters in the faith and in the grace that comes from God to uphold us with patience and to make us like Christ, our Lord, I am writing to you to share with you about what the grace of God is accomplishing through us in the church in Pachacamac. In my personal life this has been a challenging time for me. It has been encouraging to me to see that others are growing in their understanding of the doctrines of grace and in their knowledge of God. I had the opportunity to visit with another pastor and that visit really encouraged me to love the people whom I am ministering to. My devotional time with the Lord is in the mornings and I have been having this time at the church building. I have also begun to exercise again which I believe is profitable. I am also trying to not neglect the flock which God has entrusted to me. I have spent some good time with them which has been an enormous encouragement to me. I have been visiting with them in their homes in order to pray and to study the Bible. I have found that as I have gotten busier in ministry that my prayer life has diminished. In the ministry I can attest that God is doing his work in the church. Just like everywhere else there are problems. One of the problems that I see is the need to set aside a day to be with the Lord, to learn of him, to go to church, and even to go out and evangelize. Unfortunately some of the church members still have not understood this. Although it does seem like they are more willing to give their time to the Lord than they used to be. Please pray for them. On a positive note, many of them do seem to be growing in grace. I am trying to do my best to provide them with materials and information that will help them to learn. In fact, we are going to have a two day seminar where we will be studying the word together. I have been encouraged to see how they are eager to learn more about the Bible. As their pastor, I just wish that they would not only desire to learn but that they would also join us in witnessing. We continue to go witnessing in a local market and I have been very pleased with this as we have had the opportunity to share with many people. Please pray for a brother from our church named Joao. He is going through some financial struggles and his employer has even begun to demand that he work on Sundays. We are praying that he will not lose heart and become ensnared by the Devil. I have been sharing the Gospel lately with some friends of mine from High School through Bible studies in their homes. Please pray for Marcos who has been attending our services; pray that the Lord would save him and deliver him from his drug problem. I thank you for all of your help. May God bless you and keep you.
