Beloved Brothers in Christ,

For me and my family it is a privilege to once again be able to express to you my sincere greetings from those of us that are working with HeartCry here in Peru.

I want to share with you first about my family.
Thankfully we are all healthy and desirous of continuing to work for the kingdom and the glory of God. My wife, children, and I were pleased with and encouraged by our visit from brother Brad. We had the opportunity to get to know him better and he and his wife got the chance to get to know us and to see our work up close. They got to see how God is blessing the work in this part of Peru. God has inspired us to keep sharing about him in our community, our church, and in the school where my children attend.

In my personal life I want to share with you that I was surprised to see how many things I had been ignoring in my relationship with the Lord.
In this last module that we had, we learned more about the Lord and about the way to correctly interpret the Bible; searching for the intent of the author. I am sure that this will help me to be able to better teach the brethren that I am ministering to. Throughout the rest of the year, with the other missionaries, we will be studying Systematic Theology, and I am looking forward to that.

In our work, we are continuing to be blessed by the Lord.
Some brothers have joined our church from another church which they left because of doctrinal convictions. On Thursdays we have been studying the book of Romans with this group. On Sundays we have been studying Ephesians. On Saturdays at our children's meetings we have been studying about the death of Christ. These children's meetings are different than most in that the children bring their Bible's and their notebooks and they all take notes. At the end of the year we will be reviewing what they have learned and we will be giving them some incentives to study hard. Some children who used to come to our meetings just to play games no longer come now that we are focusing on the Bible.

In our church we are really praying for our other brothers here in Lima.
We are especially praying for a pastor who is going through some problems in his church due to a stand that he has taken on right doctrine. Because of this his financial support has decreased. We are taking up an offering in order to try to help him since he has a family to care for. Please pray that the Lord would strengthen him and would provide for his needs.

God Bless You,

Miguel
