My Beloved Brethren,

In these lines I would like to share about what our Father God, full of mercy and grace, is doing with my family in Ferreñafe.

It is true where the Word says that “you can do nothing apart from me.” Over this month we have experienced the joy of being in the hands of God in every church activity. The group of people from the new church in Sinchihual is growing and there are new people who are coming to listen to the Word, just like the woman from Thyatira who sold purple fabric, who was listening and God opened her heart so that she could be attentive.

It is truly surprising to me how the women who speak the least Spanish in the Sinchihual community come close to the Lord along with the men who do understand Spanish. By their testimony their husbands end up coming to church. It is marvelous how God is doing His work in this new group of believers. May the glory be to God, since it is Him who is convincing these sinners of the truth through His Holy Spirit.

Now here in Ferreñafe God is also doing the same thing. There is a family that was involved in all kinds of scandals for years – they were always drinking and they were feared in their neighborhood. Now one of the sons and the mother of the family have been coming to church since about the beginning of this month. They come faithfully and the son asked me to lend him a Bible to read. I gave him one and he brings it to every service and tells me about what he is reading, even though he still hasn’t stopped dressing like before (he has a piercing and a few other things). His mother tells me that she has seen a few changes in her son and that he is coming to church by his own will. I hope that he continues to be faithful and that God would work in his heart at any moment. He stays up to the last moment after every service and we talk about salvation. I hope that God has mercy on him. Let us pray for Luis.

As far as everything else, we continue discipling and teaching Biblical doctrine. Likewise, we always do evangelism. There are several families that we are always visiting in order to preach to them the message of salvation. There is one family that asked about when we meet and at what times – this is good progress, but what’s important is that God have mercy on them and convert them.

This next month we will be preaching the gospel of salvation at our church anniversary event on the 26th and the 29th. Our prayer is that men and woman like Lydia might come and listen attentively to the Word of God.

Sincerely,

Wehrner P.
