MIES Mission - HeartCry Peru, Northern District

We had a meeting with the missionaries this 12th of March. We studied the doctrine of God with the Scriptures. We also had a time of prayer for our families and ministries from 9:00am to 12:00pm and ended with a fellowship lunch.

The Baptist Theological Missionary Seminary.

We thank God that we have started one more year of classes thanks to the mercy and grace of God. God has sent, by means of His Church, eight young people to study in the seminary. Of those eight young people six are young men and two are young women.
This year I will be teaching the course on the Doctrine of the Church (ecclesiology), the course on the book of Revelation, and the book of Daniel. Each class is twice a week for 45 minutes each session.

Grace Baptist Church (La iglesia Bautista de la Gracia.)

We continue giving thanks to God for our growth and the Lord is glorified in it. The Lord adds to us each day those who are to be saved. The brothers and sisters in Christ are bearing fruits of repentance. We continue preaching the gospel and souls continue to hear the message. Even though the brethren are bearing fruits of repentance we still haven’t been able to have baptisms. We prefer to disciple them well and then baptize them later on.

We continue open air preaching at the homes of brothers in Christ and people invite us to preach the gospel in their houses street by street. May God bless His Word and may He save a people for Himself. About 60 to 80 people are coming to each evangelistic service. It gives us joy to see how people who are still unbelievers ask us to go to their houses to preach.

Word of Life Baptist Church (Iglesia Bautista “Palabra de vida”) – Sanchez Cierro

God also continues giving us the privilege to help a group of brothers and sisters in Christ that meets in a rented house in the Sanchez Cierro squatter settlement. It’s a group of fifteen brothers and sisters in Christ that continues to grow in the grace of God. We also have thirteen children there. Please pray for them because four of the brothers from this church have had to go on a trip to work in the Cajamarca area with a construction company.

“Faithful Men” Baptist Bible Institute

The last week of February we traveled to the jungle to have a Bible institute with the Aguaruna brethren. I traveled with Pastor Angel C. and Brother Miguel C. We taught on the Doctrine of God, the Doctrine of Man, and the Doctrine of Salvation. God worked marvelously. Fifteen people made professions of faith and we hope that God may give them grace to bear fruit for His glory. Eleven pastors attended as well as two women who are Sunday school teachers. It’s a joy to serve God.

The first week of March God gave us the privilege of teaching His Word at “Jesus is my Savior” Church in the villages of San Pedro and San Pablo in San Lorenzo. Eight brothers and sisters in Christ heard the teaching from the Word of God. The Doctrine of Scripture classes were taught by brothers Ivan T. and I taught the Doctrine of God. The classes were in the mornings and afternoons and at night we had open air gospel preaching in the town.

The brothers and sisters in Christ rejoiced in studying doctrine and gave thanks to God because His servants were teaching them and they recognized that they had been in error for many years. We have planned the next trip to that area for the third week of June. Please pray that God would continue working in these brothers and sisters so that they might understand His Word.
