Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings to you all. I hope that God is prospering you in all that you purpose to do for His glory. My prayers are with you all. There were a few new things that have happened with the ministry lately. We did an evangelistic outreach this month. One family joined us and God gave us many opportunities to share the gospel. I spoke with someone who was a member of the cult called Los Israelitas del Nuevo Pacto (“The New Covenant Israelites”) and I had a very special time explaining to him the text that he was trying to show me. Later on I spoke with a Jehovah’s Witness who had the very same problem. They simply don’t know how to read the Bible and it was a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel with them. God also gave me an opportunity this month to share the gospel with a man named Julber. He is from La Oroya and he lived for a while in Germany. We talked about the Gospel for about 8 or 10 hours this month (2 hours per day). Please pray for him. This month I decided to start a blog for the church where I write a daily devotional. I also use the blog to try to keep the church up to date and provide some teaching by posting videos and writing short articles. A group of us pastors met with the purpose of sharing what God has put on our hearts regarding how to work in the church this year. It was a special time of mutual exhortation and it gave us an opportunity to pray for one another. During this month brother Ronal V. took on the teaching of the children at the Bible school and he’s teaching the Baptist children’s catechism. The women have also started meeting every two weeks to share their needs with one another for the purpose of growing and fulfilling their role in the local church. On Sunday nights we continue with the Doctrine of Christ and on Thursdays we’re doing discipleship. On Saturdays we continue working with the youth, teaching them through sound doctrine what God requires of them. We focus on discipleship and studying the book of 1 John. This month of February, if God wills it, we will have the men’s meeting on the 20th and a retreat with the brothers and sisters in Christ on the 25th and 26th. Our aim is to share a time of fellowship and sound teaching. The topic will be the sanctification of the believer. Pray for us and for that which God is doing though us. May God keep you. Gustavo R.
