Beloved Brothers in Christ,

December has been a month of many blessings and struggles also. As always I was preaching the gospel wherever The Lord took me. There is a growing opposition to the word of the Cross, and it became more evident to me especially during this month. As my everyday way of transportation I take a new private bus line, and have the opportunity to preach the gospel and give away gospel tracts. However, this month I have been told to stop preaching on many different occasions, because they say it is not allowed there. On one occasion, the bus driver walked back to the middle of the very long bus and asked me to stop. He said that if I did not stop that I would have to leave. So I stopped the preaching out loud and began to talk to the people (also in a loud voice) who were listening but in a conversational way, asking questions which they answered. So, I´m having the everyday blessing of preaching and, in that way, obeying God rather than men. Please pray that this won´t last long and they may allow the preaching.

The other situation is with the university Christian group, which seems to have backed down from their intention of learning biblical evangelism. It is sad to see that some people show interest in knowing the true gospel, but after it is seen, it is hard for them to face. We have contacted them but haven't had any response. Please pray for them.

Another sad experience that we had is at the end of December, when we had a meeting with the pastor and leaders of a Baptist Church in Punta Hermosa, near Lima. We were there teaching the scripture on Justification, Regeneration and Biblical Evangelism. It was a great blessing because most of the brothers were accepting the truth of the Scriptures, but at the end the only one who seemed to be opposed to what we taught was the pastor. After I explained to him that everything that I taught was biblical, he refused to listen and ended the meeting. Please pray that these brothers may have the grace to go deeper into the Scriptures and that they would understand true doctrine.

I think this month brought us many challenges for next year, especially in the area of taking the true gospel to many more places, and in seeing the truth of the power of the gospel being preached in many more places.

Also, this month we have received many e-mails from brothers who are preaching the gospel in their cities, and we counseled them. This is an encouragement to us to continue in the production of many more resources on biblical evangelism, through our web page: www.enlospasosdelmaestro.com.

Please continue praying for us, for The Lord to make us grow in the knowledge of Him, in the praising of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the love for this lost world, in the saving of souls through the gospel, in the guidance of His Spirit,  in our family (wife & children), in our church, in the ministry, etc, and that in everything we do that it may be for His honor and glory alone.
