Dear Brothers, Regarding the church ministry: I have been very busy, studying and preparing the teachings that I shared during this month. Because the church has grown in maturity and knowledge of the Scriptures, I am challenged to make an effort in my study and so be able to teach the flock. Pastor Martin traveled to Venezuela during this month of October and I was in charge of the direction of the church, together with the leaders. Also, as one of the pastors, I gave counseling and encouraged the brothers who needed it. Also this month pastor Martin traveled to Argentina with brother Alfonso. They were invited to preach and teach in different parts of that country, and again I stayed in charge of the church, with the help of the other leaders. Once again I give thanks to God because everything went as planned in the service and the participation of the brothers of our church. Equally, I can't forget to mention how The Lord is adding new people to His flock with hunger to know Him more and to serve Him better. In regards to the prison ministry, in November things have been a little bit hard because two inmates were murdered inside the prison, one from Cell Block 12 and the other a woman who was visiting the prison. The inmate was killed by another inmate, but the murder of the woman was terrible. She went to visit the murderer, who is Dutch, then he killed her and buried her beneath his cell. After this he built a concrete bench over the tumb, but another inmate told the story to the authorities after almost two months, so he was discovered. Through this case, it was evident that there was a lack of security in the prison, and the media (tv, radio, papers, etc) covered it all. The authorities and, the government itself, have taken strong measures in the prison control.Nevertheless, we give thanks to God because despite all this crisis our labor hasn't been affected, and we are going and sharing the word of God. Our brothers whom we are working with, continue being faithful in the study of biblical discipleship, and it is evident the growth that these studies are producing in them. For this reason I feel so blessed to be an instrument of The Lord in His work in the life of these people, despite the hard and unsecure conditions that we have to work in this place, and I rejoice in this. Your brother in Christ, Rogelio A.
