My Beloved Brothers:
It's an honor serving our God. I really believe that we should serve Him because of who He is, and not just because He commands us to do so. Every human being should serve Him and recognize His greatness and power. This is what I have been meditating on this month, as God used me in many ways and I was amazed.
I had a new experience this month. One day on Sunday when I was at church discipling, an elderly man entered seeking the pastor, and I told him that I was the pastor. Then he asked me to come to his house to pray for his daughter that was depressed, in bed, and who didn't want to eat. She was scared because she said that a shadow appeared at 6 pm and talked to her, telling that wanted to take her or her grandfather's life. She was scared because of this and didn't want to do anything.
When I saw her there in bed I felt sorry for her. She was very fragile (19 years old), and told me that she had been feeling this way for about a week. She was crying and seemed very scared, so what I did was to read God's Word and explain her the gospel of salvation. Then I made her see that Satan is in this world to scare people and so enslave people to fear. After reading the Bible, I held her hand again and it was warm and trembling. So, I thought she had fever or even that she was about to have a seizure, but neither of these happened.
I began to pray asking God for His mercy on her and asking him to touch this young lady's life, and not only hers but her family's as well. Finishing my prayer, I left, offering to come back at 6 pm to see her again and read the Word and pray. So when I came back it was very interesting and amazing because she was walking and had eaten, and she had a renewed desire to live. Her grandfather and family were very thankful, so I told them that it wasn't me but God who was giving them another opportunity to know Christ and His love.
Since that time, it has been marvelous for me knowing that God used me to help. Never before in my ministry had I experienced this. I have prayed before for many people who were going through problems like this, but they usually didn't respond or they continued in the same condition. But with this family, we prayed at noon and by the evening she was already fine. It was marvelous seeing how God works. Her name is Cintya and we continue visiting her to continue studying God's Word. I hope that God will continue working in her life and family. Every time I go to visit them, the whole family comes around me to listen to God's Word.
Also, God blessed us with our Children's Bible Club which is growing; we have 50 children approximately. Most of their parents are unbelievers and we hope to get to all of them with the gospel, because this is one of our main goals.
In regards to our brothers, we have many people visiting our church, and every Sunday we are preaching about the true gospel of God, showing the true condition of men before God. We are very happy that there are always new people listening so they may not have any excuses of not having heard the true gospel.
Thanks to God for our brothers from Monsefu continue to be faithful, and are growing in spiritual knowledge. Also, our brothers from Inkahuasi are very happy for the land and the construction of the building on November 12th. We will travel there with a group of brothers to make adobe bricks. Please pray for the starting of this construction.
Sincerely,
Wehrner P.
