Beloved Brothers in Christ,
Starting this month, on Friday the 2nd, Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th, I traveled with the seminary students of Sullana to Paita, to the church of pastor Javier C., where we were evangelizing. Another group went to help in the Compassion project, which is in pastor Javier's church. It was a very beautiful time where I had the privilege to preach on two evenings, and once in Sunday school which was held in Arenal, a very nice place alongside the river. The purpose in meeting there was to baptize 5 brothers in the faith. In this way they gave public witness of their faith.
Also, in our church we continue preaching Christ. Because of a brother from our church an opportunity in a school to preach the gospel to the parents came up. Everything was ready, but I had to go to the hospital to take my daughter to the emergency room. However, the preaching wasn't stopped because my father, who is also our pastor, went and preached the word of God. After the event, the director talked to our brothers and asked them to again do something like this but just with the teachers of this school. May the glory be to God alone! On Saturday July the 31st we had an evangelistic campaign planned for unbelievers. Our brothers invited many of their friends, and that day we had an attendance of 130 people. We gave away New Testaments to each one of the attendees, encouraging them to read the Bible in order to be wise, to believe in it in order to be saved, and to practice it in order to be holy. We have thought about doing this again, to gather many people to preach the gospel to them. On July the 29th and Sunday the 1st of August, we attended to the 50th anniversary of the church where I was saved and grew up in the Lord: The "Divine Redeemer" Baptist Church. We attended with the brothers from our church, to have a time of praise, being edified and remembering the work of God in the north of our country; on the northern coast, mountains and jungle. These 50 years preaching the gospel are a challenge for the other churches. May God continue taking care of and blessing pastor Angel C. and his wife. We will continue announcing the message of God until our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comes. On July the 12th to 16th the seminary students had their exams, finishing in this way a new theological module. We encouraged them to continue being prepared in the word of God. I'm also very happy for the return of pastor Daniel and brother Ivan from their studies in the seminary in The Dominican Republic For the next module in August we'll have new courses in the students curriculum.
