Dear Brothers,
Thanks to God I´m fine, serving in the church, learning more each day about our Lord and also learning through trials which are necessary in our lives.
I have been leading Bible studies with many young ladies of our church: On Wednesdays we study about the gospel with two sisters whose names are Martha and Amelia. Martha is 21 years old and is from Piura, she used to attend a church there because her father is one of the leaders of that church. She came to Lima to work, and when she came to our church she didn´t understand the gospel. However, now we can see fruit in her and she is very joyful because of this grace in her life and is willing to know more about our Lord.
Amelia is a young sister who studies at a university in Texas-USA, and is 19 years old. She came to Lima in February to take classes at The Catholic University, because her university has an exchange programs with this university. She was attending one church of the CMA denomination, but for distance reasons, and because she lives in Barranco, she began to search on the internet for a local church nearby her home and then she found us. Thanks to God! So since she is attending our church, and has a strong desire to follow Christ she is studying the gospel. I am waiting on the Lord to do his work on her. Please pray for her, because she will return to her country and will come back to Peru in August.
On Saturday afternoons I´m going to San Juan de Lurigancho Prison to visit Jacky and Maria Pia. Please pray for Jacky that God may save her soul.
I have begun teaching the children of our church on Sunday mornings and I will do it once a month. This ministry is being shared by three other sisters whose names are Illary, Angela, and Sofia. The teaching that we have with the children was about the story of Esther.
Your servant,
Ana P.
