Dear Brothers, On May 14th and 21st I shared the word of God in the house of two unbelievers who opened up their doors due to the friendship that they have with the new brothers who have repented and believed. Thanks to these brothers in the faith, these two new families allowed us to enter into their homes and preach the gospel. One family heard the gospel but they didn't show repentance over their condition, but the other family, after having heard, felt broken by the word and they said that they would cry out to the Lord for the salvation of their lives. At this moment I can't say with certainty that this family is saved, but what I can say is that we'll continue proclaiming the power of God in the homes of unregenerated men, and we'll continue to preach in the homes where we already preached. The work of salvation is of God. On May 7th I shared the gospel with the students of the High School from the Divine Redeemer school. The people in charge of the program invited me to preach the message of God. I proclaimed to the students God's wisdom, the cross of Christ. I asked the Lord that He would give me boldness to speak not with my wisdom but with His Spirit. I continue teaching about cults in the Seminary. In one of my classes, when I was talking about the third person of the Trinity, that has been changed by the Charismatics, one student left the classroom and didn't come back, and after finishing my class I came back to the home where I'm living at the Seminary. I began to think about the reason why this student left, and minutes after that he came to me to talk. He looked very bad and asked me to talk, so we talked, and he confessed to me that he left the classroom because he had a hidden sin, and almost everything that he shared to me was with tears in his eyes. So I counseled him with God's word, then he examined his faith during his days in the seminary, through the book of first John, and at the end he realized that he was a Christian, and that he was struggling with a personal sin, and it made him cry and be broken. We finished praying together, he was humbled by the mighty hand of God. Currently we are studying the Bible together, according to my time availability. He has conquered, with God's help, that sin that was taking out his joy of salvation. This happened in a class about cults, and I am glad not because of his sin, but because he wanted to abandon his sin, being confronted. I feel happy not because of myself, but for the word of God that was used. As the director of studies, the seminary supervisor, seminary teacher and living in the seminary, I'm responsible not only to teach theology at the seminary, but to be sure that the students may rejoice in the Lord and live according to what they are learning. I'm emphasizing the doctrine of God, as an essential study, not only for one class, but for all the years of theology classes. From May 14th to the 23rd the students went on their first mission trips. Three teams of six students each one, plus a pastor traveled out of Sullana. A team went to pastor Gilberto N.'s church, in Charangrande, another team went to Suyo, where pastor Daniel A. is working, and the third team went to Paita, to the church of pastor Javier C. Pastor Erick A. who finished the seminary, and is pastoring a church now, was the leader of the Charangrande team. Pastor Jesus R. was the leader of Suyo team, and pastor Javier was the leader of the Paita team. The students came back very happy and shared their testimonies of how they worked for The Lord. Regarding my trip for the Bible Institute in Pampa Flores, it was postponed, because our brothers were in time of the harvest. I will be traveling on June 14th and staying until the 18th. I say good bye to you beloved brothers from HeartCry, telling you that everyday I pray for you to continue growing in Christ, and helping missions, as you have been doing until now, with promptness and joy. Thanks for helping this servant of God, and all the pastors and missionaries that share the precious seed. Jose Luis S.
