South America: Reports - Peru - Reports

Dear brothers:

On the first day of this month I went to Ventanilla
(on the outskirts of Lima) with some brothers who came from the USA. We took food and clothing to our brothers of this church, which is being pastored by brother Victor M. While there, we witnessed and shared the Word of God with the people in the neighborhood.

On April the 11th I had the privilege of baptizing four brothers and sisters from our church. These brothers and sisters are: Catherine H., Paloma M., Cristian R. y Marc S.. Also on April 24th I had the honor of preaching and directing the wedding of our brother and sister, Alberto and Paloma, which was held in Chincha (a couple of hours south of Lima).

In regards to the church, God continues working through her, because our brothers don't forsake the command to go and preach the gospel. So, The Lord has been glorified, adding to the church those who are being saved. Not only is God using the church in Peru, but also in other places outside of Peru. For instance, pastor Martin was invited once more to teach in a conference in some places of Argentina. We have no reason to boast in ourselves because everything is coming from The Lord, and we are just His instruments.

In regards to the prison ministry, I give thanks to God because, in spite of all the inconveniences that we have had to obtain our IDs to enter the prison since the beginning of this year, finally we have them. This last Thursday we were going to start a discipleship program using a book by Paul Washer, but we ran into a problem. In the same place which we have planned to start meeting, some inmates had a meeting with the psychologist so we had to cancel the meeting. Nevertheless we are ready to start classes this next Thursday with the inmates that we have been working with, who are very encouraged to start.

Your brother in Christ,

Rogelio A.
