Dear brothers:

In these last weeks we had hurricane like winds
which made our neighbor's house and a sister's house fall to the ground, and several other houses were damaged. My children were very frightened. Well, this is because of all the weather changes. The flood warnings for our area continue. My wife is still encouraged after having been scared, and we give thanks to God who protects us from many disasters which are more dangerous, like in other countries.

In regards to the church, our brothers lost their harvests and animals and we are helping them in some ways to face this problem. The cost of living has risen because the products which are produced here are scarce because of the flooding. However, for us this is an excellent opportunity to be united and help the most needy people. In regards to evangelism we are taking more time to talk with people who tell us that they superficially that have accepted Christ. In this way we are hoping to avoid some mistakes that we made in the past in teaching an unbiblical view of assurance.

In regards to the churches in El Biavo, this March 27th we'll have a pastors' meeting. They are very encouraged but at the same time we are having less problems with the pastors than with the people who are in the congregations. Many of them, who are still unconverted, don't want to accept the things that they are being taught from the Word. Also some of the pastors' families don't want to accept these things either. Some of these people get mad with us and offensive. It is very important to obey the Holy Scriptures rather than the forms or models which we learned in the past, especially in the area of shallow evangelism. We have advanced a lot due to the teachings received in the conferences.

Personally I am reading the whole Bible again. I am also confronted and edified with the books that brother Brad White brought. I already read "God is the Gospel" (John Piper), "Nine Marks of a Healthy Church" (Mark Dever), and I'm starting with "Evidences of a True Believer". All of these books are helping me  a lot, with my family and ministry as well.

Thank you for your prayers and for the monthly support that you send us every month. Thanks also for the blessing in having the conferences, our next conference will be, God willing, in Nuevo Progreso, the Biavo area.

God Bless You,

Arturo M.
