Today I met with Thomas U. Thomas pastors a church in Lima and he also takes four trips a year to work with the Aguaruna people in the jungle in northern Peru. There he leads a Bible institute for pastors and church leaders. He shared with me that he is leaving on a trip this Sunday and that on this trip they will be having a graduation ceremony for those who have completed the three year course of study. They will also begin the new school year for the institute, which has 31 students enrolled for this year. Twelve of them are pastors.
This afternoon we began our training time for our missionaries. Some of the church members from the Church of the Savior were also in attendance, in addition to some brothers from Venezuela and a young man from Chile. I am teaching through part of the book of Mark and Martin Z. is teaching through 1 Timothy. Below is a picture of Martin teaching the group.
