My dear brothers in Christ, I have recently returned from a trip to a small town named Acolla, 15 minutes away from Jauja, which is a province in the department of JunÃÂn, Peru. My brother Scott D. and I were preaching the gospel and helping to plant a biblical Church. Miguel F. is a 34-year-old man who is serving the Lord there in Acolla and is being supported by the Church of Lethbridge, Canada, where Scott is serving as pastor. I need to say that I was really encouraged by Miguel’s testimony and his zeal and commitment in serving our Lord Jesus. He is serving and working in a radio which is located at the building where the church gets together. He is about to get married and he wants us to pray for his wedding and for the Lord to use him with power and a demonstration of the Spirit. We were there five days there and were travelling each day to Acolla from Jauja. We had the opportunity to preach the gospel door to door and visiting some contacts. We were visiting many people, but I would like to talk about two women named Liz and Blanca. We were visiting Blanca for three days and preaching the gospel and talking about justification, regeneration, sanctification, and the necessity of praying. She was trusting in her own good works and attending a Catholic Church. While we were teaching her, Liz came with her little daughter and began to listen us. They were under a strong conviction of their condition and their multiple sins and they recognized before the Lord their need of a Savior. We were visiting them for three days and preaching the Gospel and other important doctrines of the Scriptures. I am so thankful for these women. The Lord guided us to them and Lord knows about her condition before Him. We spent many hours preaching them the Gospel and teaching them about important doctrines of the Bible. We started talking about a Holy God and their condition before Him. When we were about to come to Lima she gave thanks to God for his having sent us to tell her she was a slave of her sin. I give a lot of thanks to my God and Lord for having put Blanca and Liz there. I pray the Lord would continue giving them wisdom. Miguel is visiting them every week and studying the Paul Washer’s book “The One True God†along with her. I praise the Lord for Miguel too. Please pray for him and the amazing work the Lord is doing through him there in Acolla. I met a good group of youth who went along with us all the time to every place. Alia, Anyeshla and Sergio are serving the Lord with great diligence and effort, investing their time in seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. I glorified the Lord for their lives and their commitment in doing their best in God’s grace to serve Him and Honor Him with great joy and gladness. May the Lord continue edifying them and giving them wisdom and fear to serve Him and persevere in grace and mercy. We were in Ccaccasiri, a small village in the department of Huancavelica, Peru. We traveled from Jauja to Huancayo, the capital city of the department of JunÃÂn, and then to Huancavelica. It was a long trip, but a good experience. We set off early in the morning, Scott, me, and a young man named José, who is another man whom Scott's church is supporting. I’ve learnt a lot of things along with Jose. There is a group of people in this small town Jose is teaching and he walks 6 hours every Thursday to another town where he is teaching and preaching the gospel and then he comes back on Saturday and walks 6 hours again. I was thinking how many believers here in Peru and even in the United States of America only need to drive 20 minutes or at least one hour and they would prefer to stay at home and not go to church. What a different and great ministry! Most people in Ccaccasiri don’t speak Spanish so Jose has a great radio program where you can hear the New Testament in in Quechua, which is the most common language in this region. On our trip to Ccaccasiri we got in a van to this small town and during our trip I started to preach the Gospel to one man next to me and he became angry and very vocal with me, but the Lord used it to catch other passengers’ attention. They all were teachers and one of them named Janet was so interested in talking about the Gospel so she invited us to speak about the Gospel to her students. We went to School and Scott started with creation, went to the fall, and to the cross and that God was calling on everyone, everywhere to repent. I was translating from English to Spanish and the Lord blessed our trip in a tremendous way. We climbed a mountain and were praying at the top in three languages: Quechua, Spanish and English. What a great God!! He heard us not in our languages, but according to His will. It was a great blessing in our lives and when we were in Huancavelica we had to translate from English to Spanish and then into Quechua, ha! It was a great task but the Lord blessed His Word. There are at least 5 places near to Ccaccasiri which have no testimony of Christ and have no Biblical Church. Jose is praying to go to these places and preach the Gospel. We pray that the Lord would send workers to His vineyard. Jose has to walk three hours minimum and we are praying for a motorcycle for him because that would likely cut his travel time down to hour or an hour and a half.
I thank the Lord for this trip, HE was glorified through our lives and I pray the Name of the Lord be glorified in these mountains. May all the people here know about our great and glorious God and Lord Jesus the Christ.

I preached at a youth Conference too in Pichanaki, a city in the jungle of Peru in the department of JunÃÂn. There is a Church there, not a Baptist one but from another denomination named Peruvian Evangelical Church. William is the pastor and a good servant of the Lord who has understood the truth about decisionism and the True and Glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. My time in the jungle was one of my best times here in Peru. The weather was so hot, even suffocating but I was in prayer all the time and knowing the love endures everything, even the higher temperatures. I went there along with Junior C. and Eder M., two youth who have recently come back from the Dominican Republic where they were studying the Word in a seminary. They have served there with a great joy and zeal, teaching and giving counsel to the youth. I am really thankful to the Lord in seeing His Work on these two youths and I need to give thanks to the Lord and praise Him for His delight in saving people and transforming them into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. Praise be to God for His mercy and grace bestowed on His people to magnify and exalt His majesty and make His own Name be glorified among the nations and among towns and cities here in Perú.
I was preaching especially on Biblical Evangelism. I was teaching about the example of Jesus in using the Law to put people under conviction of their multiple sins and their condition before God. I was preaching about the rich young man in Mathew chapter 19, the Samaritan woman in John 4, the good Samaritan, and I was teaching about the Love of God. I enjoyed a lot this time there. I was preaching on Sanctification on Sunday. We had a time of questions and answers on Saturday afternoon and I was astonished and surprised by the tremendous interest they showed. They had a lot of questions and asked a lot of good ones especially related to the Sovereignty of God, the Love of God, and the biblical way to preach the Gospel. I spent a lot of time giving counsel and preaching. We had to preach four or five times a day and after preaching giving counsel or talking to people about the gospel. The Lord was so good my friends and gave us a tremendous a glorious time there among good brothers and sisters who fear the Lord and want to serve Him more and more. Please continue praying for youth meetings. We continue teaching in an exegetical way the book of Hebrews and it has been a tremendous blessing for my life and for youth’s lives. Now we are studying chapter 8 and explaining more about the New Covenant in Jesus, the Christ. I am really thankful to the Lord for this group of young people and I can say with great confidence and joy in the Lord that our great and glorious God has given us a good group of youth and they are growing in their knowledge of the Scriptures and in grace in the Lord. I am really, really thankful for this and my heart is full of joy and gratitude to my Lord and God, hoping the Lord will continue giving me wisdom and grace to keep sharing with them the amazing things that are in Scriptures. It has been a blessing and I have never seen a group of young people who share their faith with boldness and confidence in the Lord. What a great joy to see God’s work in their hearts!!! As I teach them the word I remember the words of the preacher: “Remember also your Creator in the days of your youthâ€Â. Please pray for these people, for the Lord sustain, preserve and persevere His work in them, until the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Last Monday, we started to study the book of Genesis along with the youth and we have enjoyed it a lot. They are really encouraged in studying and learning more about their Creator and Sovereign God. I’ve never seen a group of youth with such an interest in learning and studying diligently the Scriptures. Definitely, it is the Work of our Almighty God who causes in us the will and the work by His own good will. Praise be the Lord for these blessing and the opportunity of seeing how these youth are growing in mercy and in the knowledge of our great and glorious God. Please pray for my life and for God to enlighten me through His mighty Spirit so that my heart will be able to understand His Word and the amazing truth of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. God is the Gospel and this is an amazing truth. Pray for God to strengthen my life more and more through His Word and Holy Spirit. May the Son Of God receive the full reward for His suffering. I am really, really thankful to the Lord and people who are giving through HeartCry to support missionaries here in Peru and throughout the world. My gratitude to the Lord and many, many thanks to people who are supporting this ministry. I cannot help giving my gratitude to the Lord for their lives and every time I remember them I give thanks to the Lord for such a grace in their lives in giving themselves to this work. May the Lord abound more and more in their lives. May our Lord and Savior bless your lives and your families’. May God be praised and His Name Glorified. In Jesus Christ, Your brother and friend, Walter I.
