Dear Praying Friends, What a blessing it is to know that there are people praying for us! We thank you for your faithfulness to “hold the ropes†for us. It is our understanding that many never received our last email prayer letters. We have had numerous problems with our computer…but adding to that our lack of computer knowledge and our lack of time to sit and figure it out, we obviously have had some major glitches. Please bear with us as we try to get these worked out, and please forgive our seeming lack of communication. Our family is well. Caleb (in 5th), Benjamin (in 3rd) and Aarón (in K5) are doing well in school. Isaac is going all around in his walker now. We daily realize our insufficiency and total dependence on God to raise these precious little boys. Please pray for us! Joel is still in need of someone to work with him in the ministry. We thought we had someone, but we’ve found that if someone is not dependable, they are of no help at all in the ministry! Please continue with us in prayer for this tremendous need. He doesn’t even have a deacon he can depend on at this time. Sunday morning church attendance has increased amazingly. However, attendance has dropped in all other services and Bible studies. Pray as we are personally discipling several. Pray particularly for Elena, whom God recently saved after she realized she had been living a false profession and was continually falling into sin. She has two teenage boys that have not been trained in the things of God and she is having a heartbreaking time with both now as she is trying to put order into her single-parent home. Pray for Erwin Jesús, a young man that has been permanently confined to a wheelchair due to an accident on his job. He is greatly struggling with accepting this as God’s will for him. Pray for the Ygreda family, as we are currently discipling most of them. Daughter Cynthia appears to be lost. Pray for conviction and repentance. The Bazán family has been in the church for nearly a year. The parents have been saved and in September were married in our church. Since then Daniel has been bursting at the seams to do anythingâ€â€a welcome change for us! We are grateful for the mission team (our first!) that came in May from Georgia Baptist College. They were a tremendous blessing to each one in our family, and to our church as well. The youth were especially affected by the seriousness of this team about God. We will be returning to the U.S. for two months (Dec. 21-Feb.18) to renew Joel’s documents and to have Aarón see a pediatric opthlamologist/surgeon. He has an appointment in Atlanta on Dec. 23. We look forward to seeing some of you! Pray for our church in our eight week absence. Thank you for your prayers. May God bless each of you greatly as you have been such a blessing to us! In His service, Joel G.
