Missionary Daniel C. at a weekly evangelism event that took place last night in a nearby squatter's settlement.

This morning I had the chance to interview three of our missionaries: Daniel C., Angel C., and Gloria M.

Daniel has quite a lot on his plate. He is pastoring a new church plant here in the city of Sullana that seems to be gaining quite a lot of ground among the young people. A significant number of young people have been coming to this relatively new church. Daniel also is the director of the seminary here as well as the elementary and high school that meets at the seminary. In addition to that he leads a class once a month for all of the missionaries that HeartCry supports in this area. Please pray for Daniel; for strength, endurance, and wisdom to know how to balance his time in a way that glorifies God.

Angel has been in the ministry for years as a pastor and church planter. Many pastors and missionaries have come out of the church that he pastors and he was the one who had the idea of starting a seminary here in Sullana about 10 years ago. Angel has several health problems including diabetes and arthritis which are limiting what he can do these days. However he does continue to be faithful in pastoring his church and in counseling pastors and others who seek him out.

Gloria also struggles with several health problems. In spite of this she continues to be faithful to the Lord in her ministry of evangelism and discipleship among women and children. She also serves as secretary of the seminary.

Please pray for both Angel and Gloria; that the Lord would help them to endure their respective illnesses and that He would continue to make himself known to them and to use them.
