Yesterday (Sunday) we had a good day of worship with Daniel C. and his family at the Good Samaritan Baptist Church where he is pastoring. We got to hear Daniel teach Sunday School. He taught a great study on the local church. Then in the morning and the evening services I was invited to preach. After the evening service the church had a birthday party for a young man named Wilmer who is going to be joining Daniel as one of the pastors of the church. Today I have had interviews with Gloria M. and Benjamin C. Gloria teaches Spanish and writing classes here at the seminary in Sullana. She also is the dorm mother for the female students. In addittion to this she is involved in local church ministries to women and children. Benjamin and his wife Mary both have very sweet spirits and seemed to be very happy in the Lord. After getting married four years ago they spent three years in the mountains serving as associational missionaries for an association of churches. They have been back in Sullana for a year where Benjamin serves as a professor at the seminary. He also is involved in pastoral ministry at a church plant that meets at the seminary. In addition to this he is the coordinator for one of the locations for the seminary by extension that the Sullana seminary operates. I am currently at the seminary waiting to meet with Miguel C. who is on his way here. Miguel pastors in the mountains and is also the coordinator for one of the locations for the seminary by extension. Please pray for each of the missionaries to continue to be encouraged in the Lord. Particularly, pray that the conference that we will be having this week will be a help to them.
