Yesterday was a full day. In the morning I met with two of the men that HeartCry supports; Rogelio A. and Victor M. Rogelio is one of the three pastors of The Church of the Savior in Barranco (Lima). He is also involved in prison ministry at the San Juan de Lurigancho Prison (one of Peru's most dangerous and most overcrowded prisons). He shared with me that, because of some other supposed religious groups that were entering the prison for some not so religious reasons, the prison authorities have been making it somewhat difficult for Rogelio and his co-workers to get the necessary paper work for their ministry. Please pray that this would be resolved soon.

Victor pastors a church in Ventanilla, on the far northern edge of Lima. In addition to pastoring Victor is also a gifted evangelist and preacher. The Lord has been opening some doors for him to travel and speak at other churches within Peru. Please pray the Lord would help Victor to make the most of these opportunities as he seeks to spread the gospel in this country.

In the afternoon I met with Walter I. and Joel G. Walter is involved in several different teaching ministries at the Church of the Savior and in other places. We spent most of our time simply talking about Scripture. It was very apparent to me that Walter loves the Lord and is seeking to faithfully teach His word.

Joel pastors a church in Manchay, another community on the far edge of Lima. We got to visit with Joel and his family and we attended the evening prayer meeting at his church. It was a blessing to see several people gathered for prayer. Please pray that the Lord would raise up other men from Joel's congregation to help Joel in the leadership of the church.
