ernestoToday I met with Alfonso N. and Ernesto Z. (Ernesto is pictured here on the right with a leader from one of the mission churches his church has helped plant.)

Alfonso continues his work as an evangelist in a multi-faceted way. He continues: working directly with the evangelism ministry of the Church of the Savior in Barranco (Lima), doing evangelism training for other churches in Lima, leading a "School of Evangelism" one day a month for people from all over the Lima area, and developing and providing evangelism training materials through the internet. Here is a link to the evangelism website (in Spanish).

In addition to this, Alfonso and some of the brothers at the church are working on two new ministries; a series of evangelistic and evangelism related videos to be put either on television or the internet and a ministry to college students.

Pray that the Lord would give him wisdom to know how to proceed in each of these ministries.

Ernesto is the pastor of a church in Lima. Over the years he has personally planted a few churches and the churches that he has planted have always been working on other church plants. His church currently supports one mission church not too far from its own meeting place and they are looking to begin another one in their part of Lima some time this year.

It is always such an encouragement for me to be able to visit with Ernesto. He is beyond the age when most men would retire and yet retiring is the furthest thing from his mind. He continues to press on in wanting to plant churches in places that need them. Please pray for Ernesto's health and for the Lord to help his church in its church planting endeavors this year.
