In our country all the winter holidays begin with the New Year's Eve and end on January 19. Many people celebrate twice (new style and old style). We profit by this tradition for proclaiming the Gospel as they can not say that they do not have time. The event of the Lord's Birth was celebrated by the church for two days on January 6th and 7th. There were invited many relatives and believers' neighbors. The assembly room was crowded in all three services.
January 8th was announced "the day of the village" and almost all the members who have relatives in the neighboring villages went there and attended the religious services. There were reports that people who attended these services turned to the Lord. I visited Camenka, where I was born. Besides many evangelical Ukrainian believers (700) there was a group of 45 Romanians who need theological support. For sometime they were bothered by the Adventists. I was under the necessity to meet with them for four hours of study. I think it was successful. Please pray!!! On Christmas' eve there was a children program for the children from nonbelieving families. Many came with their parents. Besides these ministries, I was urgently called to two Christian funerals in Romanian villages where the relatives from other villages do not understand the language. In these cases I was called to preach in Ukrainian language. I spoke in the villages of Ciagor and Tereblecea.
