The Lord helped us to continue the ministry in Storojnet - Pataruti this month. Besides anxieties and obstacles, I can see God being sovereignty in His blessing and His name being exalted.

As I mentioned in my previous report, two young ladies started to come to church. They're more punctual than the church members and attend all services. My wife started to work with them so  they can be encouraged to reconcile with God.  Unfortunately, neither of the two can read because their mother did not let them go to school so they could receive some special government allowance.

It is sad that they cannot read. We've thought of teaching them the alphabet so they can read the Bible. They have expressed their desire to learn. I believe God will help us in this respect.

Another thing that we can do is read the Bible with everyone. We spend half an hour and take turns reading the Scripture. I have realized that we mostly study and preach the Bible during our church services but we do not read it. I think reading the Bible is of a great importance. I have also noticed that people who used to find it hard to read, they now started to read the passages beforehand and make progress. We are currently reading Acts. After reading the book several times at church and home, we will also start a Bible study in this book. I have already started to personally study Acts so that I can be prepared to study it with the whole church.

It's been a month since I started preaching on generosity, giving and tithing. I gave them the biblical basis for tithing and giving. People have started to change a little and I hope it will get better and better.

In addition to my sermons on giving, we continue to have guest speakers from Romania two days a month. They are interested in the ministry here. When they come, we have only evangelistic sermons. God usually blesses us with friends that respond to our invitations.

We continue to have one day of fasting and prayer each week. We then pray for the Romanian villages from Ukraine. Only God can bring the revival whenever He decides. We can only continue to pray and wait on God to intervene. I cannot understand the indifference of people who come to church and sing the songs but they do not turn to Jesus. It is pretty discouraging for me and I look forward to God's intervention.

Anothe4r ministry that has started here is the ladies ministry. They study the Bible together and pray for the minsters and for Patrauti de Sus.

The Baptist Convention asked me to help with the ministry from Patrauti de Jos. That was the first church from North Bucovina. It had good growth until World War I. They used to have a wonderful choir. Now that they have freedom, they're very few (around 60 people) who attend. The church has been having some problems doctrinally lately. It concerns the person and the ministry of the  Holy Spirit. It is actually on the verge of splitting up. I have prayed and intend to help there as a pastor and teacher for a while. There are two young men who graduated from the Baptist Seminary from Oradea who will help me. One of them is going to come here and spend 3 to 4 months. He will be in charge of the Bible study. The other one lives in this village. I pray that God will use us efficiently. They will also help me with the ministry in Patrauti de Sus. The distance between these two villages is 6 km. We had a meeting with the pastors working in our area on March 12. I led a Bible study on the topic of "The Pastor and the Preaching". It's been a special time for me.

I was away in Arad, Romania, on March 22-28. With three other pastors, I visited several churches. I personally visited eight churches. The purpose of the visit was to motivate the people there to help with the ministry in the Ukraine. I gave an interview to a Christian radio station and visited the Baptist High School in order to motivate the students to give and begin a mission in the Ukraine. I told them about the Romanian community in our country. It's been a good experience for me and it was nice to get to know the people there. We hope things will take a good turn and we will be able to take the gospel to all the villages.
