Although we had a busy month here, I am happy for that. We had several meetings with our Christian brothers including evangelistic services and other special events. I had the opportunity to visit many people.

January has been a month when we planted the seed of the Word. We pray that the Lord will cause it to grow and bear fruit.

The best time of the month was the first part because we had several holidays and the people stayed home. They were more willing to listen to us then. I took advantage of this opportunity and preached the truth of God to 184 people, 54 of them heard it for the first time. We also distributed 260 tracts and Christian CDs.

We went caroling again according to the old style Christmas.  People are usually open to receive carolers as they have the belief that they'll have a good year if they do. We had a group of people that went caroling to four villages including Grusevca. We visited almost 60 families.

We spent the second part of the month making strategies for the ministry for this new year.

THE MINISTRY IN PASAT

The church and I decided that brother Misa (my co-worker) should be fully involved in the ministry here beginning in January until March. He is a local and knows people from the village better.  He will organize the ministry in Pasat and I'll help him. I will continue to go there once or twice a week, or any time he needs me. We'll get together to talk once a week during this time.

THE MINISTRY IN MOLODIA

I had several talks with the people in charge of the ministry in this area and with the churchl. After a time of prayer and discussion, we decided that brother Vanea T., a member of the local church, should lead the ministry in this village for this year. We will talk about the ministry, make plans together and hold him accountable for what happens there. I will continue to visit this church once or twice a month, or whenever needed. They wanted to be in charge themselves and help them whenever they needed it. That helps me to have more time and focus on the ministry where I work full time.

THE MINISTRY IN GRUSEVCA

We decided to make some changes here as well. They had serious problems when I first came as the church had almost falling apart. Back then, while there were 17 church members, no more than 8 people attended the church. There were services when only 3-4 people showed up. Now, the situation is different as they all come on a regular basis, except for two ladies that are sick. There are now 21 church members because two families moved out. I made the decision to spend more time  counseling and teaching for the next three months. One of the greatest needs of this church is good teaching. This was the reason why they were on the verge of falling apart. The church has been neglected in several aspects and we have to do some catching up.

I did my best to serve this church here in order to bring it to a normal state. It is a little hard to give you details because somebody else used to work here before I came.

I want to thank you for sharing your ministry strategy with us. One of the things I learned from you is to emphasize the Word of God and the importance of preaching it. My short experience as a minister in Grusevca taught me how important the attitude of the pastor/ leader towards the Word of God and preaching was.

I pray that God will help me to stay humble and dependent upon Him so that His grace, power and majesty will be seen in what I do.
