April has been a month full of holidays and we had the opportunity to be more involved in activities. We cleaned the new building, took everything outside and brought benches inside. We also set up a sound system where the people from the village could hear everything. A group from the Republic of Moldova provided music and brother Ion G. preached the Word. The day has been wonderful as many people came to church. A young lady, Rodica, prayed to receive the Lord. We had such joy and continue to pray for her to stay firm and be a light in her school and where she lives. We also had people who had never been here before. We had a special time.
As I was saying in my previous report, we started to work in Patrauti de Jos. I want to help the ministry there to correct some errors and plant a missionary church. There are new challenges that we face. We started to work with the youth but it is not easy. We hope things will go better in the future. We also started to work with the kids more seriously who come to church every Sunday. It is hard when we have to deal with tradition and customs, but we hope to change that. My wife, Lena, organized a choir and sang in church for Easter. The people in the church are interested in music and that it good because rehearsals improve relationships. I managed to meet the old people who cannot walk to church this month. The oldest lady is 96. I visited them and gave them the Lord's supper. They felt encouraged and it was good because I could talk to their families who are not believers. There was a man who was full of joy and hope in spite of the fact that his legs had been amputated. He was very optimistic when I went to visit him. Although I go to encourage him, he encourages me. The situation in Patrauti de Jos is that we are working to reform the church and I think God will continue to give us grace. Please pray that God will transform these people and make the ministry prosper. We continue to have evangelistic sermons on Wednesdays. I believe God is pouring down his grace upon this village. Our friends from Romania continue to visit and help us. We read the Bible together and I have noticed that there is more and more interest in reading it. My wife is in charge of the Bible study for women. I preach every Sunday and have started to study about tithing. We took a break for two weeks before Easter so that we could study the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ. Besides the spiritual ministry, I was also busy with the construction work.
