We continued the ministry both in Patrauti de Sus and Storojnet. We've had warm and nice weather the whole month. The weather has given us the opportunity to talk to people from the village and share the gospel with them. I would like to tell you about a few important events here. The most important thing is Petrea D.'s repentance and commitment to the Lord. God allowed some trials in his family which made him seek the Lord. We had visited and talked to him for two years. He was addicted to alcohol. His wife, who a Christian, got sick and was hospitalized. God touched his heart and he surrendered his life to Him. I keep encouraging him because I know that Satan will continue to attack him where he is most vulnerable. Satan will try to cause him to fall. The whole church is praying for him. We all feel greatly encouraged when someone receives Christ. We are also glad that a young girl named Adriana decided to take music lessons from my wife. Lena is in charge of eight other kids who are not Christians. Adriana has the desire to take piano lessons. It is a good way to share the gospel with her. Regarding the evangelism ministry, I had the grace to share the gospel with a young man, Ion. I hired him for a day to help me clean the yard where we meet. That provided me the opportunity to share the gospel with him. I was disappointed to hear the way young people thought about their purpose in life of only seeking pleasure. I tried to tell him about the salvation plan but he was not interested. The people from the church and I spent two days cleaning the inside and outside of out church. That gave us many opportunities to preach the gospel. People are indifferent most of the time. They say they'll never change their religion because it is their inheritance from their parents. They still think we're heretics. On Sunday mornings, when they go to the Orthodox church, the priest warns them not to go to "the heretics". We are treated that way although, according to the laws, we have the same rights. We had two appointments with the mayor to offer our help to the people whose houses had been flooded. The mayor was rather apprehensive of us. Although we live in a country where they say that all confessions have the same rights, actually, the Orthodox church is privileged. It is something we pray about. We pray that God will open doors for the gospel. My wife, Lena, teaches music lessons to the kids from Patrauti de Sus every Wednesday. I personally see that as a good way to share the good news and know we'll see fruit in due time. One sad thing that we're facing here is the fact that out of sixteen church members, eight of them had to leave to work abroad. They either found no job here, or they made too little. Three more of them left and we feel pretty weak. I pray that God will send me someone to help me here. In February of this year, the Romanian churches from the Storojnet area designated me as the leader for the evangelism department in this area. I usually visit the churches from the area, and pastors and I try to create evangelistic strategies. It is difficult to change mentalities. Many evangelical churches compromise their testimony as they cease to be salt and light for the world. The pastors need to repent and rededicate their lives. We need a reform in our churches. Some of the men and I from our church meet once a month to organize the youth ministry. We have help from Christian brothers from Romania There are only seven Romanian churches in the area of Storojnet. We decided to get together every three months. We will study about the Church during the last days. That will help us understand the reality that we live and what decisions to make. I visited the church from Robcea this month and on the seventh I visited the church from Patrauti de Sus and Budinet.
