The Ministry in Tereblecia

I visited this village seven times and had Bible study from Colossians four times. I preached the Word three times in the church. Also, we had a wedding there and several unbelievers came.  They had the opportunity to hear the preached Word. A young woman from the church married a man who got baptized this year. Before being baptized he went through several counseling sessions. I praise the Lord for the wonderful work He has done in this young man's life. He is an orphan with two sisters, a twin sister and an older one. Neither of them are Christians. Although they didn't even want to come to church when he got baptized, they came to church when he got engaged and married. Our prayer is for God to work in their lives just like he did with their brother. Other unbelievers came to the wedding, many of whom used to persecute us and were against us. Now they had the opportunity to hear the gospel. We are praying for their salvation.

We continued to study Colossians. We've already been through the first three chapters. We rejoice over the beauty and abundance of the Word as nothing in the world can compare to it. I came to the conclusion that if each of us read that particular chapter on his own beforehand and then read it again with the whole church, it would all be more practical for us. It also challenges us to pray more fervently.

I offered counseling sessions to 15 people: women, men and youth. More people need counseling nowadays. There are problems between husbands and wives, children and parents and they need help. The spiritual counseling of the Christians is very important in my opinion. Pray that God will give me strength and wisdom to do this ministry more efficiently. I visited 4 families after the church services. I shared the Word of God with them and prayed for them. I visited people in the hospital on two occasions where I also prayed for them.

The Ministry in Cernauti

I visited several churches where I preached the gospel on different occasions. I preached in six different villages. Most of the preaching times were wedding services. God brought many unbelievers to these events - a perfect opportunity for them to hear the gospel. I used several visual methods when preaching so I could have their attention.  People get easily bored but God gave me wisdom to preach the gospel effectively. I got together with 6 other missionaries and had fellowship with them. We also encouraged one another and made plans for our ministries

One of the most interesting experiences this month was a visit to a family. The wife became a Christian a few years ago. Her husband, a very fierce man, heard the gospel for the first time.  Usually, whenever he had the opportunity, he would just run off. But this time, God touched his heart and we even prayed together. His wife was simply amazed as it was miracle before her. He invited us to come back. Praise the Lord for the work He is doing in Ghentu's heart!  Let's keep him in our prayers so that God will change his heart and make a new creation out of him.
