God had been with us here in Patrauti de Sus this month. My wife and I continue to work and strive to open every door for Christ we cane in this village. My wife started a ministry for kids in Patrauti de Jos. She teaches the childrens' music lessons every Wednesday. There are 14 kids who come on a regular basis. Every child is from an Orthodox families. The parents are surprised that my wife does it for free. We are at the beginning but we are very excited about what has happened so far.
Our prayer is that beyond the music lessons, the children will be reached with the gospel. We believe that these hard hearted people will someday be touched by the attitude of these children. I managed to visit several families this past month. Ivan and Raia H. used to come to our church on a regular basis, even though Ivan was not a born-again Christian. When Ivan's father died, they had a priest come and do the burial ceremony. Right after that, they never showed up to our church. I called them several times and they kept promising they would come to church. My wife Lena and I decided to visit them. When we got there, we had a talk with them, they told us they were having problems with their children and with Ivan's sister, something related to their inheritance. I prayed for them on the spot and promised to continue to pray for this particular problem. I also prayed for them to come back to church. I hope to see them again if they respect their promise. We visited another young couple from Corcesti whose names were Lilea and Nelu. They are expecting their second child. Their first child was dedicated in our church and we talked about having a dedication service for the one that is on the way. They were with us at church when we celebrated harvest Day. On the 22nd we had a guest from Timisoara, Cornel L. He has planted 6 churches. Three months ago his wife died of Hepatitis C and advanced cirrhosis. He will have to raise his 6 children all by himself. He's been through a lot of suffering and shared some of his experiences with us. He preached about giving our burdens to the Lord. That was the time of rededication and repentance. Both my wife and I felt convicted in our hearts. I am extremely grateful to the Lord for bringing such people to our church. On the 5th of the month, I got together with the other pastors from Storojnet area. We talked about Bible study in the churches, evangelism and financial resources. We shared with one another about our ups and downs and concluded admitting that we needed passion and a better strategy for our county. Along with several other pastors, we decided to meet every Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. and spend two hours in prayer. We also decided on a day to fast and pray for a revival in our ministry.
