The Ministry in Tereblecia

I praise the Lord for another blessed month in ministry. I've been to this village nine times and preached five sermons. I've also led the Bible study four times as we studied Ephesians 1-3. We had several church services during the Passion Week and also had two major evangelistic events. Before that, we had given out one hundred invitations. We were happy to see many of them coming to church and hearing the Gospel. When the church service was over, a young mother with her baby came to thank me for the wonderful service. She said she had never experienced such a peace in her soul when she had visited other churches or the monastery.

We talked about the salvation of the soul. She came for the first time and said she understood the truth and would consider it. She had some problems with her husband in that he would not let her come to our church but somehow forced her to go to the monasteries. He is now to Moscow now to work so she can come to church.  Please pray for the Pavliuc family that they'll both be saved.

The second evangelistic event was on Sunday evening. We had the choir from Cernauti who came. The church was filled to capacity as we had visitors from other villages. We were really blessed to have this choir of over thirty people. Although no one made a decision to accept Christ, we are still praying for those who heard the gospel.

At the beginning of the month we had a baby dedication service. The parents were saved about two years ago. The dedication service was a good opportunity for our non-Christian friends to hear God's word and to witness the event. As usual, after the church services, I counseled the people who needed my help. I counseled 15 people last month. We prayed together and I answered their questions according to the Bible. I visited four families for spiritual counseling and prayer.

The Ministry in Cernauti

Last month I had several meetings.  One was with some missionaries and six meetings were with some pastors. I also met with five students, youth and some local authorities.  All these meetings had one purpose and that was to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was happy to be able to share the gospel with local officials for the first time.

I visited the church in Grusevca the last Sunday of this month. After the church service we got together with all the church members in order to appoint brother Sandu D. and brother Mihai to be responsible for the mission there. Both of them also work in the village of Pasat. Since they needed a minister there, we decided that the people from Pasat would get together with the ones from Grusevca on Sunday mornings. They will have their own church service in the evening. Please pray for these two villages that God will bless the ministry there.

We want to put up the tent in the village of Poleana. We have asked for permission from the local authorities and are waiting for their response. We are already facing resistance from the Orthodox people and the neighbors as they have said they wouldn't allow us to get there. Please pray for us in this respect. Pray that God will save our opponents just as He did with the Apostle Paul. We are going to have another missionary conference at the end of this month when brother Viorel C. from Suceava will be the guest speaker.
