The ministry in Tereblecia I praise the Lord for another blessed month in ministry. I've been to this village nine times and preached four sermons. We finished the Bible study on Ephesians and started to study Philippians. As usual, after the church services, I had counseling sessions. I talked to about 12 people and prayed with them. We had two evangelistic events, having guests from Romania and the States. The first evangelistic service took place in our church and we had three unbelievers that heard the gospel. The second event took place in the sports arena in Cernauti.
The music band "Speranta" were our guest. We had given out three hundred invitations throughout the whole village and put up big posters. But only seven people came to Cernauti. No one from our village accepted Christ but there were people from other villages that gave their lives to God. The gentleman who sold us the piece of land in Poleana gave his life to Christ I had the opportunity to preach the gospel on several occasions, two weddings and three funerals. We are thankful that God made it possible for us to receive permission to put up the tent in Poleana. The people who were once resistant and wouldn't allow us to go there, started to behave. It's because we treated them with respect in spite of their hostile attitude towards us. We actually built a bridge in an area where they needed it and they appreciated it a lot. We understood that it is important to convince the people that we're honest and reliable before reaching them with the gospel. They need to see that we're ready to meet their needs as much as we can. Praise the Lord that we now have an influence over the neighbors. Some of them promised they would come to the dedication service in the tent. I participated in a missionary and pastoral meeting. It was a good opportunity to have fellowship in the Word and prayer. Then we talked about different church ministries: evangelistic events, baptism services, weddings, etc.
