We continued to work in Patrauti de Sus. The whole church helped me to organize an evangelistic event. I also got to talk to many people from this village and from Corcesti which is 5 km away.

This has been an eventful month. I want to share about the missionary ministry here. Some other Christian people and our church organized an evangelistic event. The mission "Speranta" came to help us. Four big events were planned. One of them was in Storojnet on June 18 in the sports arena. At the beginning we thought about having it in Ciudei, the neighboring village, but the people from the town hall wouldn't allow it. We had to do our best to have the event in Storojnet. All the churches in the neighborhood helped.

We passed out and posted invitations around the village in Patrauti de Sus. Most of the people didn't take it too well, saying there was no room for another religion as they had their own in the Orthodox religion. They were not interested in anything else. But in spite of this, we met people who were more receptive. Even though many people promised they would come, they didn't.

Another group of young people helped us cover a great part of the village where we went to each house and gave people an invitation. We told them we would provide transportation. As I have mentioned, we faced different attitudes and reactions.  Many people knew about it from the radio or TV.

The day we passed out invitations, I got to talk to Mr. Stasescu. He is a very rich man who is interested in religion, but he is also part of the Orthodox church committee.  To my surprise, he knew a lot of things form the Bible. He was aware of the sins of the people who attended his church. He didn't show up to our event even though he promised he would. But he helped me get in touch with other people with whom I shared the gospel. One of them was a Polish gentleman. When I got to his place, he was having an argument with his wife. But when I started to talk about Jesus and how he could set people free from any vices, his wife cried with joy saying it was God who sent me to them. We were happy to see them come to our event.

We managed to take 11 people to the sports arena in Storojnet. Six of them were young people. One thing I couldn't really understand was that after the third song, it started to rain heavily so they could no longer continue the program.  I had to take all the people to their homes, they were all soaked. I was so down and I wondered why God was allowing that. A young man, Ion, surprised me with his answer. He said that it was all up to God, including the rain and there were times when He wouldn't explain why. I prayed even though I didn't understand why God allowed that to happen. But I could get in touch with more people from the village for whom we prayed. We invited the Polish family to come to our church.

Another person we got in touch with is a gentleman called Ion. he is 65 and a teacher. I preached the Gospel to him but it was hard for him to understand things. He believed there was somebody, but not God, holding all things. He asked me to pray for him because he couldn't believe. And we continue to pray for him.

Even though we had rain on our event, something good came out of it. Many people changed their minds about us. A lot of people thought we had something to do with the Jehovah's witnesses or some other sects. When we posted the invitations we had people who even helped us do it.

I got many CDs in evangelistic events from Cernauti. I want to give them to the people who were at the sports arena that day.

Another thing I want to mention is the coming of two young men to our church. They were from the Pentecostal church but they moved to Storojnet and wanted to become members of our church. We were encouraged as they helped us with the invitations.

With some young families from our church, we prepared worship programs for the church services.
Twice a month, we have guests from Romania that help the churches in the area of Sotrojnet. They usually help us have evangelistic services.

People are a little busy with working the land this time of the year. A lady from Cernauti comes and helps us with the kids. We visited other churches in the area, I led a youth meeting and preached the Word in Cernauti.
