I thank God for this blessed month of serving in this church. I have visited and preached in this village six times. After the sermon, we had Bible study in Galatians. We actually managed to finish this book and then I made up 26 questions and gave them to each one so that they would answer them within a week. I am going to check if they gave the right answers and if they didn't, they'll have to read over Galatians and answer them correctly. We took this Bible study very seriously and we all had to learn a verse by heart out of each chapter. I have noticed the need of spiritual growth in the church. The Christians here need to have their lives changed.

Despite the evangelistic events there, nobody made any decision to follow Christ because the Christians in this village don't have a good testimony. That is why I took it so seriously and I am happy to see the results. I have decided to do a few more things in the church:

1. Once or twice a month I go to church in the morning and I am available for everyone who wants to talk, confess their sins, share their problems with me or needs someone to pray with. I am so happy to see the good that comes out of it and sorry I haven't done it before. I talk to all that come. I give them counsel and pray with everyone who has a problem or a sin to confess. I pray that God will forgive them and set them free so that the church will bear a good testimony in the village and neighboring area so that many people will come to know the Lord.

2. We get to fast and pray once a month with the whole church. We pray for the spiritual growth of the church and for the people in this village to get saved.

3. At the end of each month we have a meeting with the church members. It is a monthly accountability meeting. We usually talk about what we have accomplished the previous month and make plans for the month to come. I've seen that it is a good and edifying thing for the church.

After the church services I was able to counsel 10 people. I also visited 8 families. We had communion with some of them, I preached the word and then prayed with them.

The ministry in Cernauti

I have visited the churches in this area on different occasions. I've been to Bhranesti and Stanesti twice and Ciudei and Patrauti de Jos once. I have been to Cernauti three times. I met with other missionaries and pastors six times and we had one committee meeting. I visited the church in Bhranesti once and preached from Galatians. We had an hour session of questions and answers afterwards. We got to spend three hours in the church. Then I went over to some people's place and we had a good time of prayer and fellowship. The second time I visited this village I was with brother Sandu D. We were asked to come to the funeral of an older gentleman from the church. Many unbelievers came and they heard the gospel preached. We pray that God will give them repentance and salvation.

I visited the church in Stanesti on two occasions. I preached there twice and after the church service we had a meeting with all the church members in order to elect a new pastor. Afterwards, I led a Bible study with three families in which I addressed the topic of "The Holy Spirit and God's promises".

A 21-year-old young man died of cancer in Patrauti de Sus. Many young people were there and heard the gospel as I preached.

I've been to Cernauti three times and preached twice. I had a sermon in the church and also had a message for brother David's funeral. He used to be the pastor of that church. Although he was 60, he had an unexpected heart attack.

We had a meeting with the missionaries from Cernauti area. We had a time of fellowship and shared about our ministries. We had these missionary and pastor meetings all throughout the month. The purpose was to pray, to edify ourselves in the Word and plan.
