This month I have implemented a rule for my family and me. Whenever we want to turn on the computer we have to read a chapter from the Bible and do the same when we turn it off. Imagine how far I've gotten reading the Bible this month. It really works!!
With God's help, I can continue my ministry in His field. Unlike last month, when there are many holidays being the first of the year, this month has nothing unusual. I am going to share with you a few things about the activities I am involved in: The Church Services Every Sunday at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. all the members of our church who are physically able along with their kids attend the morning services. We have a special room for the kids that are 3 years old and younger. One of the mothers watches over for the little kids and the other ones can attend the service. Each morning service we have one of the groups serving here: the first Sunday of the month, the Lord's Supper - the mixed group sings the second Sunday - the prayer and charity group of ladies (they have songs, poems, testimonies) the third Sunday - the music quartet of men, they also play the guitar the forth Sunday - the Sunday school group of kids and even the Christian Club group; there also kids from non-Christian families then the month that has five Sundays we do our best to visit other churches where they need us or invite guests from bigger churches. I personally coordinate, control and help with the preparations for the church services. I do my best to meet with each group once a week and even more often whenever needed. I lead every church service when I am not visiting other churches. I deliver the last sermon most of the time. I often deliver a series of messages. Each evening service we have a short sermon and also a seminary class on a specific topic (different topics every time). Almost simultaneously, starting at 4 p.m., they have the Christian club for one hour and then the Sunday school for another hour. Many times I am invited to have a word there. The Prayer and Charity Group They get together every Tuesday at 4 p.m. and study Christian books together. They also pray and plan the charity work. I have mentioned more about the activity of this group in my previous reports. I am not the leader of this group, but I am often invited to join them or give them some advice. When there are Orthodox holidays during the week, the meetings take place in another village named Zavoloca. A few members of our church live there. The meetings are in their homes and they have an evangelistic flavor. Unbelievers are invited to come along. This month we met on February 15 and I was able to attend. Although we are not always as successful as we would like to be, we still share the Gospel. The Men's Group We get together the first Monday of each month in order to pray and make plans. This month we've met to talk about choosing and dedicating a young deacon to help the pastor in his ministry. Pray that God will show us who this man is and prepare him. The Romanian Baptist Group The Baptist people from the village of Kamenka get together every Sunday and Tuesday night. They also have their own small building (for about 50 people). I have a desire to visit them but I cannot do it every time I want. I've been there twice this month. When I cannot make it, brother Sandu D. (Hearcry missionary) goes there. He has covered for me twice this month. Actually, we work together in this village. I took part in the committee meeting when they chose two local young men to serve in this group (the future Romanian Baptist Church). Pray for that! Personal Evangelism Evangelism is getting more and more difficult. Whenever we get to meet somebody, it's hard to start talking to them. If they agree to talk, they suspect we might be Jehovah Witnesses. If we want to give them a tract, they think we are pushing political propaganda (people are on alert due to the elections in Ukraine). Pray for this problem and also the missionaries here so that we can find new methods to share the Gospel in a more efficient manner. I am building up relationships with people I know well and hopefully they'll be ready to accept the truth in His time.
