February meant the beginning of a new ministry. We intend to work more diligently in the county of Herta. We have already made the necessary preparations. It's about supporting three churches that were planted here not so long ago and the planting of another one. We need people to make this possible. Therefore, I get together with three more people that I train once a week. I train them in different areas of the ministry like personal evangelism in an orthodox context and dealing with Jehovah Witnesses. We have both theoretical and practical training. We get to share our experiences with each other. Two of them have worked a little before, but only occasionally. I also teach them how to to make up a sermon. We sometimes get together with our families and have fellowship.
I continued to work in Stanesti at the church I told you about previously. I am no longer in charge of the choir since I found someone who can do this job. I oversee the ministry now. I want to work a little with the youth. There are more than 10 young people in our church, but only two of them are baptized. I get together with them once a week. Although we have a Bible study, they're not even familiar with the most common Bible verses. They have been neglected. We also prepare the time of praise and worship for Sundays. I am also working on training a leader for them. Once I do that I can transfer the responsibility. We have teaching program for the church in Stanesti. The purpose of this program is to spiritually equip the people in the church so that they get to know the basics of faith. It may sound tough but this is the truth for the churches in the area. The church has survived as an institution, but had neither internal nor external ministry. They never practiced discipleship as it was all about church programs. Regarding the ministry in Pasat, it all seems to be frozen. We no longer generate any reactions from the people in the village and we are not happy about it. Two more friends have attended our church lately who come on a regular basis. We had a few more coming but they no longer do. It's very interesting to see how God works. We had the opportunity to get together with some old friends.. It's about a young family we had helped to understand the Word three years before. We used to visit them every week back then and talk about the Bible. Even though they agreed with that we were telling them, they couldn't leave the worldly life style. Anyway, we eventually decided to visit them. They started to come to church again and I am glad they listen to God's word. They have not made their final decision about their life yet, but it is amazing to see how powerful God's word is. It can work years later and break hardened hearts. The second testimony is similar, it's about a man who was exposed to the gospel two years ago, but he no longer stays in touch with us. Back then he was having a very difficult time with his wife. They were about to divorce. That is what made him come to our church. He sought to prove his wife he had changed. She started to come to church too. But this man continued to live a sinful life and that brought him many troubles. Now he attends our church and is sorry for everything he did wrong. He wants to become a believer and have his life transformed. I am really happy to see that God can use even the seed of the Word that was planted years ago reach people and correct them. God's Word is powerful and works in people's life according to God's will.
