I am grateful for the opportunity and desire to work in His vineyard. In our country the new year begins with many holidays that last for the first half of January. Perhaps this is the only time of the year when people are open for discussions on God and everlasting life. During the year it is not easy to find people open to discuss such topics. As usual, we used the children and young people for organizing evangelizations on the 1st and 6th of January. We invited the church's neighbors, the believers' neighbors, the believers' colleagues, the parents of the children who attend the Christian club and Sunday school. Although we had invited many people, as usual, only a few came. Still we had a greater audience than during the year. Twice the church was full and half of the audience was non-Christian. The Lord gave us wisdom to strike the iron while it was hot. Besides these events we were able to share the Gospel with many people outside the church. During the holidays people invited us to carol before them and hear the Gospel in their homes. I visited quite a lot of people by myself and with the groups from the church. This time we focused mostly on the church's neighborhood. We made a visit in Borivti village as well. There is a small church there who needs help. I also made 3 visits to Kamenka village where I regularly meet with the Romanian group from that village. This past month they especially needed me because they are in the process of starting a new church. In this village there is already a big evangelical Ukrainian church. Also, a youth group from a big church visited us. ("Give and it shall be given unto you...") A young family who recently moved in the church's neighborhood started to come to our programs. In January I was sick for a week and I could not manage to accomplish all my plans. Still I thank God for using all the time that was possible. The Lord knows that my children need me as well.
