Through the Lord's mercy and grace I continued to be involved in Patrauti de Sus village. I would like to share with you the most important events of this month. I also want to give you several prayer requests. We need your prayers more than ever because the world is so far away from God's grace.

The first event of the month was the Harvest Holiday on October 13. Each member of the church brought the most beautiful vegetables and fruits that the Lord blessed us with this year. Some non-Christians brought their gifts too. These are some of the most important events of the year in Patrauti village. Although we didn't invite people as usual, we were amazed that the church was full.

Many people were curious to see how the evangelicals were praising God for His blessings. It was a beautiful service. We had some guests who sang. Also, everyone who wanted to read a poem, a verse or sing a song could participate.  Everyone thanked the Lord for His care. At the end of the service I delivered a message on the bad example of the people of Israel who although they were receiving manna, continued to murmurer and complain. In spite of all the blessings from the Lord's hand, they continued to murmur. I applied this truth to our lives. I mentioned that most of the time we were murmurers in spite of the fact we had a loving Father who give us everything we needed. We had a time of heart searching and prayers for repentance. We asked God to forgive us and to teach us to be more grateful. At the end of the service we had a love feast that the ladies from the church prepared. We had a nice fellowship and met new people.

Another thing that I want to share with you is the children's ministry. God blessed our church with twelve children. This month we started to meet with them in another room. We can't have lessons with them because they are too little. We organized a special program for them. They are learning to sing, memorize verses and draw. From the beginning of this project we solved two problems. Now there is quietness during the service and people can hear the program. The second thing is that the children started to make friends. I believe this project is very effective as it encourages the parents to take their little children to church.

We started a study on grace two weeks ago in the church.  I learned many new things and understood more thoroughly this doctrine. I realized the church in Patrauti had a different view of grace. Therefore we started a short study on the church's responsibility to share grace to those around us. I try to teach the people from the church that grace is the greatest gift that the church can give to the world. I am trying to motivate them to share what they received.

When I used to visit I would take a man from the church with me to share God's love together. We continue to visit and invite people to our services. Although the orthodox priest stopped condemning the evangelicals, people continue to be indifferent and materialistic. Although they admit that eternity is important they continue their lifestyle.

Regarding the building, we stopped the work because we no longer have enough money. We are praying for the financial resources to finish what we started. We have had another family go abroad to work. They will still financially support the building of the church.
