By the Lord's mercy and grace I continued to be involved in Patrauti de Sus village. I would like to share with you the most important events of this month. I visited the village less because of the car accident. On August 9 I was driving to Cernauti. My family and one of my brothers, Andrei, were in the car with me. Another car hit our minibus in Patrauti village. The other driver was speeding and skidded on the gravel. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but everybody was frightened. My minibus was in the repair shop for three weeks. The other driver was a teacher from another village. His new car was just in pieces. I told him that I was praising God because my family and I were alive. He started to confess me that he had lived a meaningless life and it would have been better for him to die in the accident. I shared about God and His plan of salvation and he was amazed. We continue to keep in touch with him. I pray that God will have mercy on him and give him purpose for life. Following this experience my family and I praised God and thanked Him for his goodness. The other car hit the left side of the minibus where the children were playing on the backseat. But they were all unscathed. We have been strengthened by this experience. Because I couldn't use the minibus for a while I was only able to attend church on Sundays. Several believers from Cernauti drove us. Until August 9 I had been four times to the village. I had several meetings with the family who came on vacation from Belgium. They got involved in the construction of the church and the restoration of the old building. We also visited their acquaintances in the village. I had the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel. I tried to use this family as much as possible because in September they will leave. We organized evangelistic campaigns each Sunday. They sang and played musical instruments and invited their friends. We had lunch together and managed to meet new people from the village. I continued to deliver evangelistic sermons. There were people who listened each time, but they were not ready for salvation. They are influenced by the orthodox church. They say they are Christians, but I do not see any change in their lives. They continue to live according to the cold and lifeless tradition, neglecting the Scriptures.
