MINISTRY

This month I started to pray again for the mission board and for those who support our work that we would be able to continue the ministry where the Lord has called us. May the God of heaven cause you to abound in grace!

After the holidays passed and our beloved brother Sorin P. left, we were very tired from the organization of these events. We took some much needed rest and worked on finishing the kitchen and the dining room in the attic of the church. My family and I will be living there. Because of the lack of money, I was unable to complete the work. However, I was able to save some money by working on the wiring myself.

After a brief period of rest, the time for the Bible School came. There were forty pastors, deacons and missionaries from all over the country. How we rejoiced that God gave us this great opportunity to serve His saints. As hosts for the event, our church also benefited as at least half of our church members attended.

My wife and I began preparing for the baptism of a friend. Hopefully, in the spring we will have a New Testament baptismal service.

At the end of the month I preached about returning brotherly love. At the end I asked the question, "How better are we now in loving our brothers since we were baptized? Many were searched by the Word of God as revealed by their prayers at the end of the service.

Last month we were blessed by the visit of some brothers from the glen in Danube, Romania. On this occasion we had evangelistic outreach. How I rejoiced to see how many people stayed to talk over coffee. They did not want to go home. It was a warm atmosphere. May the Lord give us more days like this and more wisdom in His ministry.

In the second half of the month my wife and children caught a cold. I had to cook, clean, wash dishes, and buy medicine, and it was not easy. They have started to improve, but still not fully recovered. We need your prayers for their recovery.

Also I was invited this month to a meeting of the Community of Romanians of the Baptist Union from Serbia. The situation was very delicate as there were two factions in the Committee of the Community. One of the main items on the agenda was the election of a new president. I was called to keep the silence and peace. I needed to read Bible verses to them twice to maintain order.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Please pray for the health of my wife and my children.

Please pray for us to root deeply in Christ' love through personal study, prayer and fasting.
