The winter is gone and spring is here.
I had the opportunity to visit my mother in my home town. It is a nice place surrounded by mountains with woods and the biggest and most beautiful park from former Yugoslavia, now Serbia. I remember while living here, bother Sorin once visited me and we went to the park and prayed together. This time I went by myself to the same place and prayed. I had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Lord.
God blessed us this month with a two day evangelistic event on the 12th and the 13th of March. The first day, on Saturday, we had people from Timisoara come. Brother Dan M. came with them. They sang with the choir and played in the orchestra as they led a wonderful worship program. We also had a group of friends visiting our friends. Some of them were there for the first time and they enjoyed the Word of God.
The second day, on Sunday, we had guests who came from Resita for the evening service. Brother Daniel B. and the choir from Bocsa came with them. Their songs and the sermon glorified the Lord. Two of the people who came the day before were there on Sunday too.
The church planting ministry continued in Smederevo. We got together on Friday afternoons. We started to study Romans, but considering the fact that most of the people who came were unbelievers, we thought about studying something more simple so they could understand the gospel. We invited someone from Belgrad, a man who used to be a missionary but had to get a job so he could provide for his family. He comes twice a month and leads the worship time. He graduated from seminary in South Africa and is a godly man. Lord willing, I would like him to be more involved in the ministry here and help me. I have been in the service all alone for 10 years and he may be the answer to my prayer. His name is Ilija.
I visit the Gypsy people from Gaj once a week. Things are more simple there. They receive the Gosole just like children as they are more receptive than the Serbian people. Last week, at the end of the service, a man whose wife was baptized, came up to me and asked if I would pray for him. He confessed his sins and accepted Christ as Savior. His name is Jova and he wants to be baptized. There are three people who want to be baptized here already and two of them in Kovin. Joca is the man where we get together. He would need to a attend some Bible classes because my plan is for him to take over the ministry here in the future. He is very diligent as he goes from house to house and invites all the people to come to church. He once helped me clean up my orchard. On our way to Gaj, we met another Gypsy man, Ivica. These men helped me without requesting anything in return. I pray that God will reward their faithfulness.
