The holiday season is here and the Serbian people love it! Considering that we have both Serbians and Romanians in our church, we celebrate Christmas twice. Once on the 25th of December and again on the 7th of January. Most of the people celebrate it just like the Orthodox do here, in January. But our church celebrates it twice. It's the same with the New Year, both on December 31 and January 14.

The Lord helped us to get some Christmas presents for the kids. We passed them out and will do it once again.

We had the joy to be visited by our Romanian friends from the neighboring village and we all celebrated the birth of Jesus together.

After the first new year date, we'll start preparing for Christmas again. We are going to invite our neighbors to come who have never been to church before. Therefore this Christmas will be a new opportunity to preach the gospel.

We are enjoying the snow here. Although it is nicer and cleaner, the temperature is lower. That causes problems to heat the church and our apartment. It was so cold that the older people couldn't make it to the Bible study. My son and I went to help two older ladies. We chopped wood and brought them some coal.

God was good to us as we managed to get the necessary furniture, chairs we needed for the location in Smederevo. After we had passed out 6300 tracts, nine people responded. We are going to visit them this coming year. Continue to pray for this town.

Last month I was telling you about that Christian lady whose husband had kicked her out of the house and divorced her. We offered her shelter in our house and she will probably spend the winter here. Her youngest one is three years old girl. She is a little confused as she doesn't know exactly who her mother is. Due to the fact that she grew up in an environment with many fights and conflicts, she now has behavioral issues.  We all do our best to show her love. The woman, Natasa, is spiritually better than she used to be when she first came. This is mostly because of what my wife did for her. We need to have patience. There is nine of us in the house. I pray that God will help us to get along well.
