The first thing that I did last month was to gather the grapes from my vineyard for the Lord's Supper. My family and I go to the vineyard in a neighboring village for gathering grapes from which we make juice. We don't use sugar or any other preservatives. Then we put the bottles in the freezer so we have fresh juice all year for the Lord's Supper and the guests of the church. The second Sunday of the month we were blessed by Dan D's visit. He came from Resita village and proclaimed the Word in our church. The fellowship edified us all. We have been blessed by Popescu's visit. He came with the church choir from Moldova county. I am grateful to God that many non-believers came to that evangelistic outreach. I hope our friends from Moldova will visit us again. On October 18 we continued the Bible School. This school started in our church in Kovin and continued in Opovo village which is a more central place. We have been blessed by the coming of the men from Romania who have taught several classes on counselling. We were happy about the presence of the general secretary of the Baptist Union from Romania. Our greatest joy was a baptism on November 1. Three souls from our village confessed faith through baptism. The pastor's son from Belgrade Church No.2 got baptized in our church because they don't have a baptistery in their church. In preparation for this event we set up twenty more seats for our guests. However, the children had to stand up. The evangelistic sermon was delivered by Ondrei F., the president of the Baptist Union and pastor of the church in Backi Petrovac village. The Kisac band provided the music. They sang for the edification of the entire church. I rejoiced over the many non-believers who heard the Gospel. After the service they all stayed and talked to one another for another hour. We felt the Holy Spirit's presence. At the end of October we celebrated the Harvest Holiday. The ladies of the church brought many fruits and vegetables and decorated the table in front of the pulpit. The sermon was appropriate for this event. At the end of the service we gave the gifts to the poor people.
