Sometimes the Lord Jesus puts in my heart the desire to pray for my old schoolmates. I shared the Gospel with one of my schoolmates when we were at college, but she didn't repent then. She turned to the Lord later on. Her mother and her sister turned to the Lord too. Now she is a member of a Baptist Church in Bucharest. This thing encourages me to continue to sow His Word even though people do not repent immediately.

Sorin is one of my old schoolmates. He became the mayor of an important town in Romania. Along with Bebe we went to visit him. He was glad to see us. We congratulated him and then we shared the Gospel. I related my personal testimony to him.

Mihai is a student from Brasov. His father is a policeman and he repudiated his wife, Mihai's mother. When I started to talk to him he had some strange ideas - such as "nothing is real around me". In spite of his words, I still saw preoccupation with God in his heart. He had started to read the New Testament. I told him I wanted to visit him and to discuss with him. So one day I visited him. He was in his room with his roommate Robert. When Robert was a child he passed through a trial. He admitted that God had delivered him then. Still, both of them told me, "Alex, the Bible was written by men. We originate from anthropoid ape. This is the truth. We saw it on Discovery Channel". I told them, "You believe everything that is on Discovery Channel. Why don't you see if is true or false?". Both of them affirmed they didn't believe in life after death. Eliza, Mihai's girlfriend, agreed with them. I invited them to our meeting on true love that evening. At the end of the meeting I told them my personal testimony. I said, "Mihai, I am telling you about salvation through Jesus Christ. He changed my life. I am not telling you stories. This is what God did in my life. He changed me radically". I told him how I had been before I knew God. He left tearfully.

Room 106. I discussed with Ionut, Faculty of Athletic. He told me, "I have a cousin who is priest. He told me about God, but he didn't prevail on. I believe in God, but I don't like to go to church. In high school I had a teacher of religion who said that he had became a priest practicing yoga. I didn't like that". I shared the Gospel with him. Then he asked me, "Why do you speak only about Jesus? In the Orthodox Church Jesus is not so important, God is. I can't worship Jesus because I don't believe he is God." I knew what he meant, the sectarians speak only about Jesus. I told him that a real orthodox believes in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I didn't say anything else. Another boy, Marius and a girl were in the room. I started a discussion with him too. Marius said, "I don't believe Jesus is God either. I don't like to go to church because there are many icons and the people worship virgin Mary. I spoked with a priest about the worship of images. I told him that God said we should not make graven images. He didn't know how to reply." The discussion with them was very difficult.

Room 403. Along with Bogdan (a student who turned to God through our ministry) we shared the Gospel with Vasi, Robert, Andrei and Bogdan. They wanted to hear the Word. They enjoyed it and invited me to talk to them again. And I went. Robert told me, "In my neighborhood there is a boy. I have known him since we were children. Now he is totally different. I know how he was before, but now he is different. I am not like him. I want to be like him. This boy talked with another boy from the neighborhood and this boy started to attend church. But he did it only for a while. He started again to drink and to smoke. He took his father's car and he had an accident. He didn't have a licence." I asked Robert, "do you think he really turned to God?" He answered, "No, I don't." Then he continued, "I had an accident too and I was in a coma." Both Robert and Vasi said they wanted to turn to God. I told them, "If you will see changes in your lives from now on then God really came into your lives after authentic repentance." I continue to have meetings with them. One day I met in their room another student, Bogdan. He told me, "I know you. You came in my room a year ago." I suddenly remembered him, he had been in my heart ever since because he had been very open to speak about God. I hadn't met him since that time. It was a miracle that I met him again. He had given up college. But he came back and he shared the same room with Vasi and Robert. The boys already spoked about me to Bogdan. He was waiting for me to tell him about God too.

Along with nine students from Brasov, my missionaries colleagues and I went in Sibiu for ministry. In the morning we had a time of worship and of learning from the Word. I was glad to see Emanuela there. She repented at the evangelistic trip that we had had with Sibiu and Brasov. She started to get involve in the evangelism ministry. She had been going to the dorms with another student to proclaim the Gospel. She said, "I lived a sinful life. I knew I was doing sins before God. Then I started again to attend the Orthodox Church. But I didn't find the solution to get rid of the guilt. Then I received an invitation to a movie from your group and after that I was invited to an evangelistic trip. The Lord changed my life and I want to be baptized."

Testimonies from the evangelism from Sibiu

We went in the dorms to proclaim the Gospel. I went with Silviu. While we were looking for someone to talk to we saw Ionut. He had a big bag. He sat on a bench on the hallway and he listened to the Word of God. He said that those who commit sin aren't authentic Christians. Then I asked him straight, "Do you consider yourself a sinner?" He said he did. Then I told him that Jesus is God and He can save him. He said that he believed and wanted to put his life in God's hands. He was a colleague of Silviu. Therefore Silviu will visit him again.

Ana went with Emanuela. "We met a student who had interest in God. She had a Baptist colleague. She told us that her colleague influenced her life. Her colleague was a good testimony for her. She didn't make a decision to follow the Lord, but she thought of that."
Mircea went with Daniel. Daniel is not yet a Christian but he attends our meetings. "We met four students. They said they were sickened by the base things that the priests had been doing. We gave them a New Testament to read it."

Leo - "I met a student from the Orthodox Seminary. He was angry with the sectarians. He said that it was the first time that he had discussed about God. I told him about being born again. He thought that a man must pass through customs until he reached Heaven."

Another student said "I met a girl who didn't want to talk about God in the presence of her friends. So we went out down the hallway. There too she paid a lot of attention to see if someone would hear us talking about God. She said, "I am orthodox and I want to die like that. I don't believe there is eternity."  I helped her to see that she contradicted herself. Actually she didn't believe in God. She was ashamed of being seen with Christians."

Through God's grace twenty four students were evangelized. It was also a good time for the Christian students from Sibiu who had the opportunity of confessing their faith. For some of them it was the first time they proclaimed the Gospel. Praise God for the door that he opened for the Gospel in Sibu and Brasov.

We continued the Bible study with the families. I also lead the Bible study at the church every
Wednesday evening . I also preach the Word on Sundays.
