By the beginning of February, I was in Romania in the Northern part of the country, where my mother lives. As my father passed away just a few months before, I had to go to help my mother with some paper work. While I was in the area, I was invited to preach in some churches that I am in touch with. I preached in Grace Evangelical Church, whose pastor is my former mentor. This is a church that appeared as a result of a great revival in the area. I've never seen in Romania, such a sudden change as in this place. In just a few years this church came to have over 500 members and around 700 attendance. An important reason for being in the area was to visit an uncle that was very sick. He was not a believer, and being so sick I decided to drive to the next city and share the Gospel with him. I also preached that Sunday in Bethel Baptist Church in Cluj, one of the key churches in this major city of Romania. Along with solving some land issues in my home city, I served in the local churches and visited believers and unbelievers. The second week, I went to a HeartCry mission in the Eastern part of Romania, called Rimnicu Sarat. On the way I visited again my uncle and I challenged him to confess his sin. He seemed to be better, but I felt he needs to open his heart. He was ready to do it, but his sister who was an Orthodox opposed him. As she was taking care of him, he choose to not say anything. That was his last chance because soon after he passed away. I visited with Cosmin a woman that began to attend the church regularly. She is not a believer yet, but she seems to be open to the Gospel. Her name is Mariana. We had a Bible study with her and Stefania, her daughter. Speaking about sin we could see tears in her eyes. It is a sight that God works in her heart. Pray for her conversion. We also visited Dr. Eugen, a colleague of Cosmin. We pray that God will open his heart so that he will hear the Gospel. Being in Rimnicu Sarat I took the opportunity to do some planning and improving the logistic work of HeartCry. The next trip was to Bucharest, where I had to spend a few days for meeting my team. I had a meeting with Samy M., the Director of Evangelism Explosion in Romania. He is a dear Brother who encourages me a lot. We work often together, as both ministries have evangelism as a key component. I also had a meeting with my team from Romania: Florin S., Dany C. and Cristi I. Florin is the national coordinator and we discussed the major issues that we have in the ministry in Romania. Florin reported a good progress in the ministry. He has been visiting the Gypsy teams from Romania and encouraged the missionaries to be faithful in their work. Dany C. is coordinating the communication department. Cristi I. is taking care of the Media department. I discussed with them ways of improving communication and information. Cristi is moving slower with the job he needs to do, so I had to motivate him a little bit. He is working now on putting on DVD's all the HeartCry Conferences we had in Romania. A part of my time was also designed to prepare the Justification and Regeneration book for the printing. The last corrections were made and some details of printing have been finalized. The book is ready to go to the publishing company. Praise God for such a great blessing. On Feb 13, I flew over to the States for the rest of the month, where I was involved in the True Church Conference. We had training for half a week with the HeartCry team (the US team and other missionaries from abroad). We had Conrad M., Paul W. and Don C. teaching us for three days. Then we had the conference for the rest of the week. Great messages! Oh, what a blessing I had to stay and learn from some of the greatest men of God. After the Conference I flew to Houston to spend a week with Harvest Bible Church. This church is involved in Romania, helping two of the missions planted by HeartCry missionaries. I had meetings with the staff and a few of the leaders. They plan to come to Romania this year and help with missions and building projects.
