The believers in Fieni started to prepare this month the inauguration of the worship house. The opening will take place on January 10th. After the inauguration we plan to have the morning services here. For two years we have gathered every Sunday evening in Fieni. We rejoice that the Lord has worked amongst us to give us a group of ten adults and ten children.
This month I have began a spiritual dialogue with two men (Cristi and Florin) from Fieni. I met them through a person in the church who they worked for. Cristi owns a business where he manufactures PVC window profiles. After he fixed the windows in the home of a sister, she gave him a Bible. He did not want to take it at first, but received at the instance of the sister. A few days later Cristi had a brush with death. Since then he has become responsive to God. He started to read the Bible and to come to our church meetings. At the first meeting he had a lot of questions. I realized that he was looking for God. I began to meet separately with him and to have conversations on different biblical themes. While I have been answering his questions, my intention is to get him involved in a systematic study of the Bible. Through Cristi I met Florin, a man of approximately 45 years of age. He had attended an evangelical church on a few occasions in the past and therefore knows more about religion. In our discussions, he is very open and is able to understand biblical teaching very fast. It has been so encouraging that Cristi and Florin are eager for knowledge. I hope the Lord will search them and bring them to salvation. Every Christmas we do caroling. We use this activity as an evangelistic outreach. This year we visited several families and sang carols about the good news that we have a Savior. The children of our church benefit from the event as it motivates them to share the good news. Sorin P. and I had a meeting with the team of Gipsy missionaries to evaluate their ministry. We also evaluated the evangelistic campaign in 2008. Following this campaign several missionaries spoke of conversions in their churches. Praise the Lord for the strength that he gave us to finish what we had started.
