GOSPEL LABOR The Lord has been good to our family. Although it was a period when our parents had serious health problems, the Lord showed his mercy towards them and us. Also, the news that God is searching Daniela's sisters who are not Christians has been a great joy. We would appreciate your prayers for my father-in-law. Last month the Lord showed His goodness in so many ways. I had again the sense of the one called for working in His vineyard. And I also had the hope of the sower (the sower sows in hope, the Scripture says). I also have been gratified each time as He knows how to fulfill me at the end of each day. In the last report I related about the evangelistic events in the church. This month we had several evangelistic outreaches on the street. We had a team of street evangelists from U.S., whom we served with on the streets of Pucioasa and 3 other neighboring villages. We distributed many booklets which led to several discussions with those who were interested. We focused especially the crowded areas: the market, the high school and other central areas. I think this was a good covering of our area with the message of the Gospel. The courage and the passion of the team from U.S. helped us a lot and we were able to split into various teams. Many members of the church were involved both in the distribution of the booklets and in the translation of the evangelistic discussions. The Lord put on our hearts the desire to pray specifically for a few persons who we shared with and we are sure that the Lord gave them a new opportunity to hear the Gospel. Then we scheduled to visit some of the families that agreed to have us come. At the next meeting, one family invited their neighbors and they were able to study several verses from the Gospel of John. Although we met many persons who "Just got married, and therefore they could not come", they said they would want to hear us at a later time. Oh, how many are like these in Pucioasa! Only the One who cured all manner of sickness and all manner of disease (Mark 1) can also help their disabilities. Beside evangelization, the team had fellowship with the church at the worship time and they spent time with our young people strengthening them. They also preached in the church having several challenge messages about reaching the unsaved. We have been blessed in so many ways through this event, but I can say that this sort of bold approach with the Gospel changed mostly my attitude. The Lord encouraged me through them. I got to see the great need of our town for the Gospel, I saw that I have to pray more for the unsaved people and aim at a better balance of the ministry in church and outside. Everybody confessed they were especially blessed by this ministry together with the brothers who were street preachers. After this experience, I felt from the Lord that we have to think more about the ministry that we called "many are the called". We met with the church and we discussed about how we can call on different occasions as many as possible. Each of us will pray and fast once a week. The majority made a commitment to this ministry including me. It is wonderful to see how each week everybody takes booklets and looks for opportunities to present Christ. We only want to be witnesses and signs for this generation. I already saw how the Lord answered our outreach as we had four non-Christian people visit our church. On another occasion we had a campaign of distributing booklets. During the outreach I met a man named Gica. We had a good discussion and I shared with him the Gospel. He told me about the void in his life. He asked me to pray for him and to meet for studying together. Will he be good ground or a stony one? A few visits with relatives provided other opportunities for presenting the Gospel. Again we were able to speak with Florin and Cerasela's family and pray together with them that the Lord would open their hearts. We are so glad for the meetings with this family because we have complete liberty in telling them about Christ, but "how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!" Lord, give them repentance for them to have everlasting life! In the Roman family we were able again to confess the Lord of our salvation. I know that God waits for these people to repent, but for how long? Both have been in great corporeal trials. The husband fell from the floor, the wife had a vascular problem. Our visit was a comfort to them. But above all we prayed them to reconcile with God (Romans 2), who leads to repentance. Oh, Lord, we wait in the day of small things for those who yet refuse to return to You as their only salvation for their souls. In a meeting with the church we proposed strengthening ourselves in the decision of "calling many persons", praying consistently and fasting for unbelievers. We want to invite the mothers with their husbands at a meeting on March 8th (Mother's Day). We have some evangelistic materials for women, which we want them to have. We also recommended building over the next months an extension to the church building which will facilitate the children ministry and youth ministry and provide us a kitchen. PRAYER REQUESTS Pray that the Lord will give us wisdom in His ministry and the understanding of His will for the things we committed to Him. Pray that the Lord will give us the necessary resources for the extension of the building. ÂÂ
