EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH Florin S. and I determined to be diligent in our evangelistic outreach for 2009. At the end of December we had a puppet drama with the children. Those children who wished to be a part of the program, "Andy, the Lion Cub", were expected to complete a few small books and then they would receive a Bible. In the beginning of January, I began to visit these children to bring them the next number of the book. Although there were many children in this project, only a little girl, Patricia, 6 years old, continued to attend the children program. I started to go out on the streets to evangelize. The Lord gave me many opportunities to proclaim the Gospel. I went a lot to the park in town with our baby. I discovered this is a great method of sharing the Gospel because I meet many young couples who also take their children to the park out and it is very easy to start a conversation with them. I determined to develope a ministry to the families that were our age. I have succeeded in spending more time on the street giving booklets and talking with the people. I rejoice a lot over this thing. I also went with Florin out on the street for evangelistic purposes. The Lord gave us many opportunities for sharing the Gospel. I started weekly meetings with the bigger children at my home. Because some of their parents leave them at home alone, I was able to give them to guitar lessons or teach them mathematics. As a result of my being able to spend time with them, I attempted to have personal discussions of encouragement with them according to their needs. I continued the children program each Saturday. Since January we started the worship services here in Fieni. Every Sunday morning we gather for evangelistic programs for the people that we evangelized during the week. In the evening we have a Bible study. I have great joy because one of the children, Andrei, who comes from a non-Christian family started to attend church. Regarding our construction work, we are continuing to lay out the exterior of the building. While we are still involved with some physical projects, we are not as busy as we were last year. PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for our evangelistic ministry that the Lord would use us powerfully and give us wisdom and boldness. Because we are in the initial stage of the church, pray that the Lord would help us grow and to develop into a healthy church that is full of love and has a missionary soul. Rejoice with us over the Lord's enablement to start a Baptist church in Fieni. Pray that it will bear witness to our Lord Jesus Christ.
