God worked powerfully both in Alexandria, Rosiori and Mavrodin this month. We continue to go to Mavrodin every week and I can see the ministry there taking shape more and more.. Besides Sorin (the young man who used to be demon possessed but got saved), three other young people made the decision to follow Christ and his father, mother, sister and brother-in-law as well.

We also got in touch with 150 Gypsy people from Mavrodin. Some of them started to come to our services every Wednesday at 6 p.m.  Before the services, my coworker, Darius M. and I go and do outreach. We tell them about the love of God and the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.  Out of the approximately 80 people we talked too, 90% were very receptive when they heard the gospel. But when it came to making a decision, they were not willing. However, I think that anytime the gospel is being preached, it means victory because the seed of God's Word is planted and God will make it bear fruit in His time. He can give salvation to His chosen ones. Praise the Lord!
Two weeks ago I used a different strategy to reach the youth from Mavrodin. We organized a football game between the team of the Orthodox and the team of the Baptist people. We had seven players from Rosiori and four from Mavrodin as our team. The purpose of the game was to make friends with them so that we can share the gospel with them. We all had a friendly attitude during the game. Before starting to play, we prayed first. Throughout the whole game, our players acted like real Christians and that touched the hearts of the others. At the end, we prayed again and said the Lord's prayer. After the game, our people sang some songs and the others were very impressed. Seven people out of the Orthodox team showed up to church the following Sunday. I think the game was a pretty efficient strategy.

I want to share with you the joy I had a few days ago. Somebody from the church in Rosiori got baptized. It was an eighteen year old girl named Valentina G.. She became a Christian a few months ago, last December. She will marry Viorel M. who is a part of our church member committee this coming month. We are going to have another baptism service in June. There are eleven people who want to be baptized then. Pray that God will keep them all. God bless you!
