The Lord helped us to preach the Word to the lost this month. The first event in March was a baptism service. Two people were baptized, Narcis and Vali. They made a public commitment with the Lord that day. We are happy for them that they met the Lord and especially because they have a good reputation among the people. Several unbelievers attended the church on that occasion. They all heard the gospel and we hope that the Word will bring fruit in their hearts. On the 6th of March we had an evangelistic event for women. I invited my friends to come to church that day. Other people from the church invited their friends too. Around fifteen women showed up. Although we had higher expectations, we thought that God was in control of that situation too. The gospel was preached that day also. Although we plant the Word persistently, it seems that people's hearts are hardened and won't turn to the Lord. There are many reasons to be discouraged but the Word of God tells us that sowing is made with tears and harvesting is made with songs of joy. But our duty is to sow the good seed hoping that we'll see the fruit someday. I had an encouraging experience the second part of the month. One morning, at 7.30 a.m., I was on the street and met a woman I used to know whose name is Corina. I said hi and asked her how she was. She told me she had some problems. She had broken up with her husband because he would spend all their money on alcohol. She told me she would like to come to church and maybe bring her husband along. They both came to church that Sunday and it seemed that the Word touched their hearts. They came again the following Sunday. I am now focused on them and pray that the Lord will give me wisdom and strength to lead them to Him so that they will be saved and delivered from sin. Please pray for Corina and Albert.
