I met Vali in one of the dorm rooms. I found out that his parents had abandoned him and he grew up in an orphanage. While talking with him, I told him about another student who had grown up in an orphanage too and how I counseled him to forgive his mother. He eventually did when they met because Jesus had changed his life. Vali went on sharing with us, "I have been through tough times in the orphanages. My godparents taught me about God and how to pray. But I am not so much of a believer and I do not go to church every Sunday". Then I asked him if he knew God and he said he did not. When I told him about sin, he started to defend himself by saying that he was not as much of a sinner like the others but he was aware that he needed to change some things about his life. He did not want to surrender himself to the sacrifice of the Lord. When I visited him on another occasion he told me he had not thought about we we had talked about before. I was sad to see he did not want to hear about God although He had provided for him all these years.

Alex was Vali's roommate.  He grew up in an orphanage too. He is now supported by Ion Tiriac Foundation. I told him about salvation through Jesus Christ and that the wages of sin was death. While I was talking to him, I noticed he kept smiling. At the end, he said, "everyone knows about God". He wanted to get rid of me and he said he had to leave.

I went to a dorm. The cigarette smoke was everywhere as I went to room 14. I met Mihai there. I noticed he spoke and heard with difficulty. He was wearing a hearing device. We talked a little about student life and then I approach the subject about eternal life. He seemed to be pretty receptive until we reached the problem of sin. Then he gave up. A friend of his, Silviu, came to him. I had previously done a Bible study with Silviu. When he found out I attended a different church, he no longer wanted to meet. Ionut was at the computer, playing games. I asked him if he had some time to talk. He said he did, but when I stared to tell him about God, he said, "I am an atheist". I started then to offer him evidences to support God' existence. I told him about the consequences of atheism in society, about God' kindness for humankind, about how people lived their life and about the judgment. Despite all the arguments I gave him, he told me with a smile on his face, "like I said earlier, I do not believe in God and you cannot make me believe".  But he accepted a new testament.

I went to do outreach together with Octav who is is a freshman. It was his first time to do evangelism. We went to a dorm where the Association of the Orthodox Students had a great influence. It is interesting that this is also the dorm where they have the biggest problems related to immorality, parties, and conflicts. Students from this dorm had died because of drinking too much alcohol. I met Florian. Dani was there too. We had talked to him about God before. Florian and Dani are good friends. Dani was there and had the opportunity to hear the gospel once again. Florian had written on a questionnaire that he wanted to know more about Christian values. So it was not too long until we got to talk about God. Florian told me that he had an uncle in Canada who sent him a book about God. He admitted he was a sinner and said he wanted to give his life to Christ. He told me he heard many new things. I gave him a new testament and told him to read Matthew 5- 7. We agreed to meet after two days.  When I went to visit him again, I did not find him. I looked for him several times but still could not find him. Satan does everything to steal the seed of the Word and fill people's minds with lies. Pray that God will give us strength and that people will open their hearts to look for God.
